Hopefully this whole socially awkward situation would pass when they got back to camp, then he would spend time with his fellow warriors... He was getting too soft with Patchfoot and it could only end in disaster.

As she limps out of the forest she sees Thunderhaze at the lake.Very quietly she tries to sneak past,but she is aware that her sent is being carried down to him.

Sprucewind
As she stands by her patrol at the lake shore, she smells an odd scent. She quickly looked through the trees around her, but didn't pay them much attention. "I'll hunt down here!" she called to Thunderhaze and Violetblaze, darting down the shore. She could barely contain her excitement for the hunt. Patiently, she sat by the water, making sure her shadow didn't show over the water. As a fish darted by, she quickly threw it onto the shore, killing it with a nip. She returned to her stance, ready to hunt again.

His ears flick, watching the shadows move through the water with ease. His paw lifts, claws flexing out ready to strike when a strange scent hits his nose. Cat no doubt but not a scent he knew from the clan, sitting down and turning his head to see if it was any threat only to see a black pelt moving shakily through the bushes. "You aren't hiding very well, who ever you are..."

Sprucewind
Picking up her prey, she swiftly bounded back up the shore to Thunderhaze. The strange scent hit her nose again, and this time she saw the black, shaking pelt. She dropped her prey, and bristled. "Who are you?" she demanded. She knew she was being a little harsh, but she didn't want to take any chances.

She was having a hard time walking because of her wound when she heard the tom at the lake's edge speak."So much for that!"she thought as she stepped into the sunlight she saw other cats."Well,well,well,if it isn't the mighty warriors!"she said smiling,her red pelt glimmering in the sunlight.She gritted her teeth because of the pain from the awful wound given to her by the dog.

She nodded and spoke softly,"Yes, that's right. They could be orange too." Her eyes searched frantically for the marigold. As she walked, she noticed a few bright yellow flowers over by the rocks. She pointed with her tail to show where it was. She smiled softly, she was glad there was still some left.

His ears flick with a bemused look on his face, rolling his eyes. "I wouldn't say mighty... Not that you look in much better shape right now. Did something happen?" Sprucewind wouldn't be much help with a mouth like that running, it made him a bit uneasy to think they'd fight an already injured cat.

He trots along, keeping an eye around them for movement or sounds. He could hear the birds chirping off in the distance but otherwise he felt like were still safe. "Lets just pray our luck doesn't run out before we get back..." Is all me manages, closing himself off so things didn't go too far.

She collected the marigold and then walked back to join Blacksky. She knew she made him feel uncomfortable. As they began walking back to camp. "I'm sorry, Blacksky. I'm sorry for everything."
