Von listened as Novak spoke. He was not thrilled with the answer. It made sense but he still did not care for it. His ears twitched when Novak spoke of an assignment that others would not be able to handle. He tipped his head slightly with interest. "And what might this mission be?" He asked curiously. Von did like to prove that he was better than others, particularly Alec. It was part of why he never complained of the rather bloody tasks that were often given to him.
Kain heard the wolf's growling as he walked behind the counter. He caught the cold yet curious warning gaze of the dark haired woman who was leaving and caught the meaning to her words as well. Once she left he looked back to the young lady that sounded a great deal gentler. He gave her a rather charmed polite smile as his head tilted slightly out of habit. "I'll have a cup of coffee and whatever you recommend." he told her in a velvet like voice that sounded much too gentle for his appearance.

"I don't, the alpha will most likely visit you before hand." Alec patiently answered, his arms extending out and grabbing onto her we she tried to duck under her. So Rayne was her name? Interesting. "Well Rayne, you've stumbled onto pack territory. To stay alive and return to where you strayed from, you need to listen. Someone will be back for you, before the full moon." He advised, walking towards the entry way of the cell and gently trying to guide her back into the secure environment. "Trust me." Maybe after all she had seen and heard she would generally in the sense 'throw him a bone' and trust him. [[edited ]]
Lucy - Human - 23
Lucy smiled to her friend, her eyes flickering towards Oliver in curiosity before Mika explained the reason she was leaving her tamed companion behind. Of course, she’d spoil Oliver with some tasty treats she’d previously whipped up just for him. “That’s alright, see you later!” Lucy replied, watching Mika leave her cosy store. Her attention reverting back to her new customer. Eyeing him up for a second, she paused as he answered her question. Slightly unprepared for just a smooth voice, interesting. “Are you a sweet or savoury kind of guy?” She asked, a small cheeky smile slowly forming on her face. She normally mixed her sweet and home baked goods around to keep her stock fresh and ‘different’ no monotonous items apart from a few common treats like pies cupcakes. Her eyes flicking back to Oliver for a split second, checking he was still there and not off disappearing behind some of her shelves.

Rayne growled at him, but went inside. "Why would he get me before full moon? I thought he wanted me to no expose our secret. As if I would ever do that," she added hastily. She never would do that. She enjoyed being a wolf too much to reveal herself. She huffed in frustration before turning to him. With her arms crossed over her chest, she asked, "So what's your name? I don't think you told me yet. I mean, it's not fair that you know mine and I don't know yours. Oh, can I get something to drink too? All that fighting has left me thirsty." A half smile formed over her face as she stared at him with her green gaze.

Talon gathered his part of the list then made his way to where his younger sister was finishing up picking up her part of the list. "Do you think Grace is ok Ari?" he asked his younger sister who shook her dark head "no Tal she's not. The dream came back last night. Grace barely slept last night after she woke up screaming. Its been eight years and still she dreams still she......" Ari fell silent as she glanced up and saw their older twin. "You know I still blame myself for the day that the big bad came hunting mom and dad and us." She said with a low growl meeting her twins eyes. One look at the three of them one could tell that they were either related as cousins or that they were triplets. Together the trio carried their meager purchases toward the counter all three of them instantly dropping their heads as Ari reached into her pants pocket and took out the cash that was left so that they could pay for everything. Ari's grey eyes met her brother and then her older sister's watching as Grace tensed slightly then tried to relax a tiny bit.

Kain seemed to think about the question for a moment before answering. "A bit of both I suppose. Though I guess I lean more towards savory if I had to choose." He again gave her a charmed smile as he glanced behind the counter to where she was looking. "Your friend must think rather low of me if she is leaving the wolf dog with you." He said with a slight smirk as his wheat colored eyes looked back to the young lady behind the counter.

When the cashier told the triplets that their purchases had already been paid for Grace's eyes widened a little then she looked toward Mikael's retreating form. She looked at Talon and Ari then smiled "I think I will go thank her for what she has done for us. You two gather everything and meet me outside." she said in a low voice that only her siblings could hear. Her keen nose picked up the scent of the food and her stomach growled a little but as the eldest she knew that she had to make sure that her brother and sister were fed first. She followed Mikael out of the store and called out softly "Thank you for your kindness, we aren't used to such things." Her grey eyes were soft and for the first time in a long time a tinge of fear shown in them, something that she was quick to hide from her brother and sister.

Alec - Beta - 21
Thankful for her cooperation, Alec clasped his hand around the heavy door and pulled it into place behind her. Locking it and making sure it was secure with a small rattle. Done. She was finally in the little prison and vulnerable to his alpha. “It comes with the territory Rayne, he’s quite protective of it, especially to outsiders. Human or not.” He answered. His tired brown eyes checking over her small form as she spoke, silently debating whether to tell her or not. His brows rising at her request for a drink, “My name is Alec and if you are good?...” A cheeky grin appearing on his face, “you might get a drink princess. As for now? I’ll see you later.”
With that said he turned on his heels and began to walk back the way he’d come.

As she heard his response, her eyes lit up. This was the perfect time to try her little, light pastry pockets that she’d baked this morning. The fresh pockets were carefully placed on a large black presenting tray under one of the heating laps in her glass shelves. Returning his smile she quickly fetched a pair of tongs and pulled out a few pastry pockets and neatly placed them on a plate. “Try these, they might look small but they will certainly fill you up.” She advised, boldly winking at her new customer as she handed them over. Curiously tilting her head at his words, Lucy snuck a side glance towards her temporary, lovely companion Oliver. “Don’t take it personally, there’s a few stores that don’t cater for wolves unfortunately. He’s always welcomed here though, he’s so lovely once you get to know him.” She replied, returning her attention back towards the customer and noting his wheat colored eyes. She’d never really seen such a colour before, interesting.
