Ember was silent on the bed his breathing deep and seemingly calm.He looked peacefull even though he was anything but.Deep withen his mind he was alone.Standing in the middle of a field of dead grass and a blackened overcast sky.Rain pelted down on the lifeless landscape like bullets. with each individual drop piercing into his skin like a syringe.slowly the landscape around him melted into a world of chaos.Large stones sprung up through the ground accompanied by dead trees and marble statues with hollowed out pits for eyes.Lightning sprung from the clouds and crashed against the blackened atmosphere.Crows perched on outstretched barren branches and the crumbled marble arms of the satanic statues that seemed to stare into him with rage.Trembeling in the vastness of the abandoned graveyard he swallowed drly.He knew where he was.He was at his mothers grave.Turning as a cold chill sweat up his neck the man choked.Standing across the field a woman in a tattered white dress stood before him.The torso of the once beautiful gown was stained in a crimson red.Her long hair was a mess of matted golden curls and her round silver eyes were bloodshot.Tears and rips and bites showered her once beautiful completion and blood poured down her chest from the giant tear in her throat.Almost as if it had been riped out. It should have been you baby. her strangeled voice gurgled before she let out a piecing vile scream.Suddenly the land before him spring to life.Crows burst from the deadened trees and showered down upon her ripping out her eyes and washing over her like a crimson blanket of charcoal feathers and blood dripping claws.The once fixed statues trembeled before breaking off of their headstone perches and falling to the ground clawing their way towards his frozen form in an almost Grudge like manner.Hooking their sharpened claws into his arms and legs they took him down their pitted eyes dropping a crimson bike as they spread their marble wings above him and turned into crows.Hundreads and Hundreads of satanic crows each ripping him to tatters all the while chanting It should have been you.
Giving a strangeled cry of fear Ember shot up and stared at the sheets of the bed his trembling hands scouring his body to make sure he was all there.That the crows hadn't torn him limb from limb that he was still alive.Burying his head in his hands he took in a few short and ragged breaths nearly to the point of hyperventilation.

Her eyes flashed wide open, her body turning cold as she felt Ember jolt beside her. She let out a tired groan, sucking in a sharp, quivering breath as she forced herself to sit up. "...Hey, hey, it's okay, shhhhh, it's just a dream, i promise," she whispered hoarsely, pulling back the blankets as she gently shook his shoulders, staring at the dark, murky shadow within the blackness. She could just barely make out his muscular frame, his body trembling as he cried into his hands. "...Its okay."

Ember gave a frightened yelp forgetting where he was for the moment and grabbing her wrist though as soon as he remembered he let her go and shook his head "Sorry..."he rasped softly wiping his eyes self-consciously before clearing his throat. "It's just a nightmare...go back to sleep I'll be fine."he murmered softly laying back and staring at the ceiling "Just a nightmare..."

She could feel her eyes widen, startled as he suddenly grabbed her wrist. She bit her lip, nodding slowly as she stared at him, her heart throbbing loudly in her chest as she gave a shaky dip of her head. "...Yeah, I know, you have them every night. Tell me about it," she whispered dryly, giving him a gentle nudge.

Ember fell silent before shaking his head "I know Nore gave you the books Shay...I don't want to talk about it so if you really want to know read The Crows..."he murmered softly closing his eyes and laying on his side.Normally when he has a nightmare for the first time in a night he doesn't have it again until the next night leaving the rest of the night open for actual rest.

She bit her lip, nodding gently as she felt him lay back down, the mattress springs cringing beneath them as she pushed her head into the cool, plush pillows, curling into the blankets. I have already, I know..., she thought dimly, closing her eyes.

A few hours later there was a knock on shays front door.
Sitting up in the bed Ember rubbed his eyes and slipped out of bed walking across the room.Stripping out of his dirty shirt he laid it over a chair as he passed.Peeking through the eye hole he grunted before opening the door and leaning against the frame "Amour?" He asked softly crossing his arms as the breeze hit his bare chest

Amour opened her mouth before clearing her throat and blushing "Oh Uhm ember did I catch you at a bad time?"she asked softly looking away

She let out a tired groan, rolling onto her side and curling up into the soft bed sheets. After a moment she forced herself to peel her eyes open, blinding white light spilling out of the door as it creaked open, her head throbbing in her chest as she blinked, slowly sitting up. From the back room she could just make out Ember's murky frame, someone outside and speaking in a very low voice, her ears straining as she wrapped herself around the blankets. Whoa, when did Ember take his shirt off? She thought dimly, frowning. Who would be at my cabin at this time of night? I never get visitors, ever...

Ember rubbed the back of his neck "No you didn't but what do you want?"he asked softly with a small yawn. "If it's about the search it can wait until morning because we need our sleep."he sighed "but that's not what your here for is it?"he asked slowly

Amour crossed her arms and looked away "Uhm no.Can you come with me for a minute? I'm hungry but I don't want to hunt alone..."she said softly making ember blink "Uhm amour I would but I don't think that would be smart of me to do seeing Im at my girlfriends house..."he said softly "I'm sorry...go ask Jax he could use a break."he said simply before shutting the door and turning back around climbing back into bed
