She watched him steadily as he watered the flowers, her eyes wavering for a moment with interest as he settled them down on her countertop, their leaves seeming to become more lively, more...real. Though they were wilted, a touch about them greened, as though they could spring back to life with that little droplet of water. Shay gave a stiff nod, watching Ember intently as he sat back down beside the piano, rumming his fingers over the keys. After a moment she gave an eased shrug, settling the glass of ice water down and standing only a few feet away from him, leaning over the piano. "...Yeah," was all she said, nodding.

Ember stared at the piano for a moment before sighing and shaking his head "I'm sorry about earlier today..."he said after a moment meeting her gaze as he stood up and picked up the glass of water sitting on the table and taking a small sip. Looking out the window he shook his head "I never should've come onto you like that..."he said softly finishing the glass of water in setting it on the table. Rubbing the back of his neck he cleared his throat "I just wanted to say that before we went out again."he murmered softly as he turned to open the door

She bit her lip, giving a rough shake of her head as she waved her hand. "-No, it's fine, really, do you have to go?" She murmured breathlessly as he turned to open the door, her eyes flickering with bits of urgency as she scanned the room, looking for anything, anything at all, that she could come up with as an excuse. "-I mean, I know you're probably exhausted and all after your trip, but I thought that maybe while I still had you here...," she trailed off, sighing wistfully when she realized she didn't have anything to say, nothing she could possibly cling to. After a moment she just stared at him, her pale, bleak yellow eyes lingering over his penetrating amber.

Ember stopped and looked at Shay as she stumbled over her words in a panic.Turning towards her he withdrew his hand from the knob and crossed his arms over his chest waiting for her to run out of things to say.Which apparently happened sooner then he expected "Shay...Stop."he said after a moment walking up to her."If you want me to stay then say it and I will but I only have an hour or two before I have to go out again."he said blankly as he stared down at her, his Amber eyes cutting into her almost expectantly.

She nodded slowly, letting out a wistful sigh as she twirled a lose strand of hair about her fingers nervously. "...Stay. Five minutes," she swallowed hard, her eyes blank as she felt his gaze cut through her, expectant, knowing.

Giving a small nod the man simply walked over to her bed and ploped down.Taking off his shoes he set the neatly on the floor at the foot of her bed before laying back and running a hand over his face.Messin up his hair he put an arm over his eyes and sighed "How long have you played the piano?"he asked curiously

She cracked a faint smile of amusement as he simply plopped himself down on her bed, her bleak eyes watching slowly as she gave an eased shrug, settling herself down on its corner. The mattress was soft, light and airy beneath her as she glanced back up at the walls. "-I think sense I was eight. Why? Do you play?" She ruffled up her sleeve, her dry gaze falling back to the ground as she asked him.

"Sence I was a small child,yes."he murmered softly dropping his arm to his side and looking at her his Amber eyes warming as he let exhaustion take over and coax him into a small yawn.Shaking his head he gave a small laugh.The laugh was sweet and innocent. "I don't think I've been this tired in a long time..."he murmered softly a small smile perking the sides of his lips as he looked away and stared at the dimmly lit cieling "My mother taught me how to play when I was younger.When I get the chance I play though not infront of others."he admitted softly
