wolves - your opinon?

I'm just curious. Why do you people like wolves? Is it their looks, their relation to dogs,
their social hierarchies, or something else? I remember that when I was younger, I
appreciated wolves for their fierce looks and relation to our domestic pets.
They were like badass dogs or something.

My favorite animal is a specific kind of wolf, the maned wolf. I don't know, it looks almost like a fox, but with with much longer legs. It looks very graceful and beautiful.

Is there anyone here who has a favorite kind of wolf? Or does everyone here like wolves in general?

My answer:
That's hard to say but when I was a kid I loved wolves and had a bunch of wolf stuff animals. Wolves are gorgeous, and just flipping amazing. I have two dogs and live in the woods.
A bunch of coyotes and fox live in my woods but I haven't been lucky enough to see a wolf, yet.

I love those fellas too but MAN do they have musk! Almost cried at the Louisville Zoo to get an only half-decent pic:


And also... Maned Wolves are neither Canidae or Vulpes, they're in a league all their own: the Chrysocyon meaning they are in fact NOT wolves! ^u^
