Saw some people on the suggestion board wanted a deer boy, so here he is

- little fawn shadow, follows him around everywhere
- tunic has a hole in the back for his tail
- very tiny antlers, they fall off every winter and he grows new ones
- three piercings in one ear
- loves adorning himself with flowers and other pretty plants

Actaeon's previous form .} Actaeon was originally a pair of hiking boots. Sadly, the owner lost one of the boots in the back of the closet. Actaeon formed soon after, the string around his neck is shoestring from the boot.

Aja's personality .} xx ❝ If you can dream it, you can do it. ❞
Aja's most prominent trait is his curiosity; he is always asking questions, always seeking to learn more. It doesn't matter what it is, he always wanted to learn about anything. With a near perfect memory, he is a quick learner. However, he is often hasty, lightheaded, and impulsive. Aja also tends to loose his temper and let his frustration control him at times. Unlike his shadow and the other deer who spook easily and run from things, Aja is stubborn and willful about his personal opinions, even when things look hopeless and everyone disagrees with him. He is determined, steadfast, and strong-willed. Once he set himself upon a course he would see it through till the end, and will allow nothing to stop him. He is very loyal to his friends and people he loves. If he has formed a bond with you, that bond is forever.

Actaeon's personality .} xx ❝ My anxieties have anxieties ❞
Actaeon is the complete opposite of Aja, and that is why they work so well together. Actaeon reminds Aja to be careful and not run headfirst into things, to come out of the clouds and remember there are things on the earth that need his attention. While Aja can get Actaeon out of his hiding spots and is teaching him to enjoy life and to take some risks. Actaeon is still very skittish of things, a natural thing for a fawn. Any little noise will make him jump and run behind Aja, shaking. But his fear usually subsides when he sees nothing is gonna hurt him. He wishes he weren't so afraid because he would like to learn new things, like his Doll, but it is very hard for him. The only time Actaeon is brave, and a bit forceful and stubborn, is when Aja gets mad about things. The little fawn will block his path and make him talk through his frustration to calm him down. Sometimes Aja will find something that pokes at Actaeon's curiosity enough for him to step up and see it. He gets very excited about things when he first learns about them and tends to bounce around during his excitement. It always gets a grin or a laugh from Aja, and that is the main reason Actaeon does it. Nothing makes him happier than when his Doll is happy.

favorite things.} wildflowers, soft rain, sound of pages turning, exploring, learning new things, the smell of fresh strawberries growing in the spring, new places, strange BJDs, when Actaeon gets excited, sneaking around human places. daffodils, whispers in the dark between him and Aja, soft pillows and blankets, small hiding spots, dew in the morning, bounding across a meadow, safety, Aja's presence, warm Autumn colors.
least favorite things .} seeing the way humans (and some dolls) treat nature, not being able to go outside, mud, when his hair gets tangly, when dolls don't listen to him, getting something wrong, technology. the creepy voice the wind makes as it blows past his ears, fog, humans, getting his string caught on something, when Aja gets mad, new things, snow/ice, being outside in the dark.

their home.} Aja and Actaeon spend most of their time in a tree den and they consider it their home. It is in the human realm and in an area that other Dolls and Shadows travel near in search of the Dollhouse or a new home. Aja loves it because he can travel around the forest without worrying about being seen by a human and there is always something new to be found. Actaeon likes it because there are clumps are wild shrubs and bushes covering it so nothing bigger than Aja can get in. There are even wildflowers around it for Aja.

Aja's hobby Aja is a guide of sort. He walks around his forest home, learning paths and short cuts, but mainly searching for lost Dolls and Shadows. If he stumbles upon a 'lostie', he guides them through the forest and points them in the direction of the Dollhouse. Some Dolls come from the Dollhouse, searching for new places in the human world. They tend to get confused by the winding paths and hundreds of trees, so Aja leads them to the other side. Actaeon helps out from time to time, catching the scent of another Shadow or the Doll and helping guide Aja to them. But he usually sticks behind his Doll, cautiously sniffing undergrowth and occasionally running into Aja's legs.

Ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ

Bernard is a total nerd . He loves to learn and constantly carries a book or two with him . If asked a question-about anything- he will most likely have the answer . This doll is an encyclopedia of useless facts . He is also very sweet, often giving out quiet compliments and helping others when needed . He smiles at anyone who glances his was and makes sure to be polite . He is very shy though, and doesn't interact with doll's that he doesn't know too well when he first meets them . Although once he gets more comfortable and opens up he is quiet and has a soft voice . Instead of having a deep baritone voice he has a soft, feminine, alto voice . Bernard tends to speak quietly, but often to his friends . He is quiet, but very chatty . This shy doll is easily flustered, blushing at the smallest of contact or the fewest of words . If one were to trip and fall on him his face would be cherry red for a week . He sputters and stutters and just panics, often lighting up like a Christmas tree . The display tends to be quite amusing . He is also very naive, often having a childish hope for things . He also doesn't get things like others would, tell him a dirty joke and it blows right over his head . He seems completely innocent because of this . To top it off, Bernard is a pessimist . He sees the cup as half empty . If put in a situation remotely troubling he always finds the downside .

Ｒｅｌａｔｉｏｎｓｈｉｐ ｗｉｔｈ ｓｈａｄｏｗ

The two have a close knit relationship . Bambi has a more fiery and sassy attitude than her doll and is usually standing up for him when it comes to it in a sticky situation . He follows what she says most of the time and often goes to her for guidance . She acts annoyed that she constantly has to "baby" him but actually enjoys it when he goes to her for help, feeling important to Bernard when he does . Over time the small deer has developed a small crush on her needy doll . Although the deer doll being too dense to notice . She hides it very well but will often lightly blush when her doll compliments her . To Bernard she is his best friend and is a mother figure to him- much to her dismay .

Ｓｈａｄｏｗ'ｓ ｐｒｅｖｉｏｕｓ ｆｏｒｍ

Before Bambi was reincarnated as as shadow she was a kite, hence the string and spots . The kite she was originally didn't have a tail, so it never actually had flown in the air . It had a pretty picture of the little deer from the disney movie on it . So when the kite had been forgotten in an attic and left there with the family moved out it changed into the shadow it is now . Bambi had to leave the house before it was remodeled and destroyed and ended up running across Bernard, quickly signing a contract with the deer boy .

Wears sock from time to time

Even though this doll has no need to the article of clothing he will wear them ever now and then . Bernard likes how quietly he can walk around with them on . He also enjoys sliding around on hard flooring .
Won't drink apple juice

Bernard can often be found munching away on an apple ( core and all ) or enjoying a slice of apple pie but he refuses to touch apple juice . He can't stand it . The doll doesn't like the flavor or the color or anything about the liquid .

I'm Rivkah. He's Devin, meaning "little fawn." The shadow is Shika.

P e r s o n a l i t y

Devin is a feminine and earthly male. He is very empathetic, having a special relationship with animals, especially those of the woodland variety. However, his eccentric nature has led to criticism, and he has tried to adapt to be more protective of himself and the environment. He puts up the illusion of being modern and knowledgeable, indulging in modern piercings and a catty, haughty attitude, but he is really a naive innocent who enjoys spending his time gardening in the dollhouse and caring for injured or orphaned animals. He particularly resents the nickname "Bambi."

Primarily Devin gardens and cares for the animals and shadows of the dollhouse.
Secondarily he takes care of children or animals when other dolls are away. Sometimes he will do tests on the foliage. Occasionally he will recommend flowers and other plants to people. He may pose if requested to for wildlife photographers because he can attract wild animals quite easily.

R e l a t i o n s h i p - w i t h - S h i k a

Shika was the one who gave Devin his ability to become an animal empath when he arrived at the dollhouse. He was friendless and frightened, and she became a friend closer than blood, and allowed him to seek refuge with other animals. She is stronger than she looks, but he will protect her needlessly anyway because she is still "prey." The string around her neck and the petals (spots) on her back are from the last bouquet he held before journeying to the Dollhouse.
