indgale is his name, but he tells people or other creatures and dolls he encounters around the world that he goes by mesa. the feminine name kind of throws other off, and he doesn't want them putting his correct name to his face. something might hold him down then.

indvrai, an agender floating blob who seems to respond happily to it/its pronouns.

indgale, better known as mesa, is an optimistic doll, and to those he is familiar with, his eyes are constantly seen glittering and shimmering, bearing a keen resemblance to the leaves shifting and letting light through. he is fully comfortable around vrai, his shadow, and finds himself venting to it and speaking to it constantly. vrai seems to appreciate all the attention and floats behind at a leisurely pace, as it always does. while vrai is a bit more free-spirited and laid-back with everything, gale is actually quite timid, and is easily frightened by other dolls, shadows, or sounds he may hear. the little goat bab is very naive and gentle, and has never even hurt a fly. though his age appears to be something around fifteen to seventeen, he's landed himself a permanent spot in innocence. his vocabulary consists of many 'oh my stars' and 'oh golly'; eventually, these may become so cheesy that others make fun of him, which only makes him want to retreat once more. vrai's company is all he prefers. vrai and nature is all he needs.
a place he has traveled before;;
indthe amazon rainforest. he found himself here one day after duo of scientists set up their nightly camp in the forest, and their young daughter had left behind her dolly when it was time to pack up. this dolly was the tiny gale, who spent his time running through the brush and exploring every nook and cranny in the whole forest. it took him quite a while to fight his way out, avoiding large creatures that he would scribble loose pictures of on leaves with a tiny bar of charcoal he'd found on the forest floor, and trying to find the exit. he hadn't realized he'd found his shadow while searching for a shadow itself, feeling lonely and weak without the love he needed. he would later realize that he'd touched a piece of cotton along the way to spark it to life, and this cotton popped up into vrai, who followed the doll along muttering and mumbling little frustrated grunts. this cotton was from another toy of the scientists' daughter, a goat plush that had been left out and mauled by a creature in hopes for food. the two would form a contract and lead each other out in the end. gale doesn't usually go into the dollhouse unless he has to. he wants to explore the human world as fast as his little goat legs can carry him.
