"c'mon, hawkpaw! it's just a few more fox-lengths!" a small brown tabby she-cat purred, nudging her friend in a bantering manner. "don't even tell me you're out of breath. this is the smallest mountain we're ever going to climb!" heaving herself up the boulder, the apprentice stood above her companion, a grin appearing on her muzzle. "aw, shut up, heatherpaw. i'm exhausted!" hawkpaw replied, flopping onto his back in the snow. "i wish i could just sleep here forever, and watch the stars rise and disappear on the horizon at dawn. if only oakclan would claim this territory!"

"it's a shame indeed," heatherpaw giggled. "maybe we could ask reedstar about it. maybe he'll stretch the borders, except there'll be more scent lines to patrol. that's pretty annoying, huh?" she watched as hawkpaw squirmed up the face of the rock before rolling onto his back, taking deep breaths. heatherpaw was always concerned about her brother and why he'd always be so tired after just a bit of adventuring. she'd thought about taking him to mousetail, but decided to monitor his symptoms before drawing to any conclusions.

"i have an idea," hawkpaw piped up. "let's start a clan here, in these mountains. i'm tired of old reedstar telling me what to do. he's a grumpy fox-dung. together, we can thrive, and change the warrior code a bit. wouldn't that be fun?" heatherpaw bit her lip. "no way, hawkpaw. making clans is not part of having fun. we need warriors, prey, and protected borders. don't you understand?"

but hawkpaw didn't listen. upon becoming a warrior, hawktalon, he fled from oakclan and created summitclan, serving as their first leader. he recruited friendly rogues and loners as well as some of his own clanmates, but soon reedstar decided to launch an attack on the newly-formed clan. hawktalon, now hawkstar, was accused of treason and stealing oakclan's cats. but hawkstar killed the leader, and oakclan failed. heatherpaw was never found, but most other cats joined the clan instead of venturing alone in the snowy forests.

as hawkstar's last life ebbed away, he chose hollowedrock, his deputy, to succeed him as leader. hollowedstar was ready for two things: conquest and survival. the golden age of summitclan was about to begin.




one. follow all the rules established on this thread, as well as the rules tess created.
two. please do not be a mary/gary-sue, be your own mate, crush, mentor, or apprentice, or establish crushes first thing in the roleplay.
three. keep genders even. i'll know that you've read the rules if you do so, and if you fail to follow this rule, i'll ask you to reread them.
four. keep spam to a minimum and try your hardest not to speak ooc without roleplaying as well.
five. like all other traditional clans, there will be no cats with other sexualities than heterosexual. no, i am not homophobic; i myself am an ally and completely support lgbt rights. but cats don't know other sexualities, so just straight cats please.
six. please, no ooc on the thread. it spams everything and i'll know you didn't read the rules if you talk in ooc. a discussion thread will be made soon, so for now just pm me if there's any problems or if you have ideas.
seven. there are no 'main characters', unless there is a prophecy. don't make your cat the center of attention all the time. other people want a chance to be acknowledged by all members of the roleplay, and that's only fair.
