Lionfur followed a bit more slowly, not wanting Russetflame to get angry. He heard a faint squeak. "Uh, did you two hear that?" He asked.

Honey squealed as the big dog grabbed her. "Eewek!" She cried out.

Russetflame looked at Dewpetal. "Uhh... Sure."
Russetflame heard a squeal from a kit. What's a kit doing outside of camp? he scented the air, trying to see where the kit was. Oh no! Dog, and rogue scent too! This kit has no idea what it's getting itself into. he ran ahead and saw the dog from earlier, B-dwag. "Leave the kit alone." he snarled. Russetflame noticed the kit looked sick and had a chest infection, whitecough.

B-Dwag dropped the kit and ran off.

Honey fell with a thud.

Lionfur followed quickly. He ran forward when B-Dwag dropped the kit. "Hello?" He asked gently, to see if she'd answer.

[storm coming.]

Russetflame rushed over to the kit. He made her stand up. "Are you alright?" he asked. It was against the warrior code to hurt a kit. Even though it was trespassing, he felt sympathy towards the kit. She looked about one moon old. "Where's your mom?" he asked softly.

I- I don't know!" She wailed. "Mommy?" She called.

"a dog!"i cried, before watching the dog run away. with a shriek, i sprinted towards the poor kit. picking her up and replacing her in my lap, i curled my tail around her, cleaning her forehead with soft licks. "awh, what a beautiful kit. do you think her mother was-..."

Lionfur looked at Russetflame, his eyes wide. "She's-" He whispered so the kit couldn't hear.

Russetflame soothed the kit. "It's alright.... You've got us, right?" he asked looking at Dewpetal and Lionfur. "Oh. You look awfully sick. Do you want to ride on my back to camp?"
