eep, everyone seems to be scared to do chapter two!
But I really don't think anyone should xD
This wasn't meant to be super serious- more like a creative dump without the commitment
    Just something for fun c:
So (and I say this to everyone) if you have an idea, by all means, just go for it!
Confidence is the key to writing! x]

A man and a woman rushed along the street of an old alleyway. They walked quickly, the woman appearing satisfied. Her expression would change to a dark annoyance or flat indifference whenever the man spoke, it seemed. But moments later she would always rebound, giggling or beaming at what she considered a cute stupidity from the man. He wasn't comfortable with this or anything else going on in the least and he looked worried. A guilty sort of worried. A suspicious sort of worried. Still, they seemed pretty innocent, if they weren't walking away from a building that was screaming with sirens. All the same, no one seemed to notice. Not even with all the technology in the world watching this area.

The woman, Jinxe, as she called herself, had her arm casually looped around the man's, Territt's arm. Well, his real name may be Territt, but the girl had it down in her brain that she was going to call him Tinker. And so, he was Tinker Pinkers. He would glance at this every now and then, his entire body rigid. He wasn't comfortable, and she was, and that was about the entirety of it.

Jinxe looked over at Tinker with a grin. "Come on, Tinker Pinkers, we're out, it worked perfectly! Calm down!" She did not mention the fact that she was intentionally pulling him down the alleyway to her street, where her small, yet workable house lay. This wasn't going to end the digital age's coming. It would only spike it, or get someone in trouble. Whether that be them or some other that supposedly committed the crime. They needed to talk again, and now.

        Or everything would perish.

Finally, as her footsteps became faster, she turned herself around the last curb and detached herself from Tinker. He stopped as she did, puzzled and about to open his mouth to say some inarticulate comment. Jinxe wouldn't let him take the moment though, grinned, and motioned extravagantly to her house.

"And that, my fine fellow, is my residence." She stayed in that position for a moment too long.

Tinker furrowed his brow, puzzled, and muttered "and there's anything special about it?" before quickly motioning to her and jogging over to the house. All he could think about was the consequences this could have. He didn't care that the plan was perfect, he didn't care they got away unscathed. It felt wrong. There was a part of him screaming his glory and laughing his heart out, but that little part of him was at the farthest reaches of his mind. Most of him just said- That was too easy. He moved to reach out and put his hand on the door to open it.

Jinxe let her shoulders fall and she good-humored-ly ran to catch up with him. Moments before he touched her door, she shouted, "wait, no!" and sprinted to his placement.

Seconds after Tinker touched the metal, the whole house began to shift and the gears that made up the walls creaked. A horrific screeching metal sound took to the air. Instead of a horrified response, Gem beamed. "Well there's to upgrades." she chuckled, and just as metal weapons came downward to destroy her ally, she held out her hand and emitted a special glow from her eye. The machine paused in mid-air, creaking in hesitance.

The woman then lowered her hand, looking down at the slant in her door. Two metal panels opened to reveal a computer screen for her. Jinxe resumed a look of focused work and dialed in a multitude of numbers and fingerprints within a matter of seconds, making the self-defense stop. It withdrew into the house again and looked again like a smooth normal metal.

She turned to the male to her side, raising her eyebrows at his stunned and terrified look. He quickly recovered himself, but not before she could laugh.

"And that, my friend, is why you spend money on digital upgrades to your house. And you have a fingerprint recognizer on your door handle. Don't worry, after today I'll put you on my 'accepted' list" She grinned before jokingly swinging open the door and bowing him inside. He still had a tense look about him.. not that he ever didn't. Tinker walked in the door, looking around almost as if more things would swing out of the walls.

The girl shut the door behind her, putting in codes on the other side of the door. Believe it or not, she was also worried. She lived in the moment, but seconds from now everything would be on high alert. There would be people made mostly of machines marching around and technological beings hunting those who destroyed the crystal down. She stood no chance against them, no, not at all. Their technology could break open her house and capture her in a matter of seconds unless she did things perfectly.

And that was it. Their lives were at stake, and the two couldn't afford any wrong moves. Because if they made them, someone else would have to continue their work. Eventually.

Jinxe twirled her hair as she walked down the hallway. Unlike most homes, hers was a bit old-fashioned on the inside, as she had fabrics of red and brown and even a single piece of furniture that appeared to be of wood. Or at least in the front hallway. Other parts of the house were more tech-savy, and more ecstatic in color. Actually, she quite adored light blues and greens. If she could scrap up the money, she wanted to get interchangeable walls or a fancy projector that can be attached to the wall itself and spoken to. But all that was beside the point

The clicking of shoes echoed throughout the hallway, for she hadn't paid the fee to buy padding or chemicals that would absorb sound. She let Tinker walk into the opening room without any fuss before turning to the wall and digitally moving a few panels. The only wall upgrade I have.. she thought with a sigh. She pulled out the equivalent of a drawer and removed its contents. It weighed almost nothing, but it was the most expensive-and most dangerous thing she owned. Or, at least, the most unorthodox for someone of her status. How she got it is a story for another day.

She moved her fingers over the metal and in a few quick swipes and the read of a fingerprint, she had her mechanism up and running. It let out a small, robotic creak and croak before stuttering to life. With that, it looked directly up at Jinxe's eyes, almost asking for commands. It was a computer, but one of the highest ranking in thoughtfulness.

"You may speak," she said with a grin, tossing her hair back and beginning to latch the compartment again, watching it melt into the wall, invisible without special detectors.

The creature then let out a metallic voice, "what may I do for you today?"

Jinxe tossed her hair back, walked out into the room where Tinker was waiting for her, and said to the little metal dragon, "just listen, think, and be there if I need you. Same as most always. Except it might be dangerous, so be careful."

The creature let out a little nod of agreement and then circled up her arm, the suction cups on it's feet making it easy to climb up and settle on her shoulder. She would've normally taken the machine on a mission like today's, for it was not much bigger than her arm, had a database in it that would quickly give information, and was as deadly as small lightning bolt and a gun. Problematically, Jinxe didn't want him stolen, she didn't need him this time, and if it made noise that might have been the end of her.

Or at least that's what Tinker insisted.

To her surprise, as she turned to the right she noticed the man himself sitting at the only small table she owned. It seated two and rotated if you wanted it to. He held no drinks, so Jinxe walked over to the fridge to fix that.

"What would you like?" she said tilting my head at him in a completely innocent manner. She didn't notice her "dragon" flit off her shoulder as she talked to Tinker Pinkers. Before she was aware it was gone, it was back with two small glasses. Thank you she thought, but didn't move in the least.

"I would like for you to come over here and make an escape plan. In case we need one." he said tensely, fidgeting and looking around as if he would be killed by the very walls of Jinxe's house. He didn't need to be reassured that it wasn't possible- he could tell what was mostly technological or not. Most of the time.

Jinxe rolled her eyes and just muttered, "I'll take that as milk then. It's all I have anyway." she poured the glasses, set the carton back in the fridge, and settled down on the opposite side of Tinker. She tried not to smile as her little metal reptilian ran from the fridge to the table only treading on her wall. It had wings, but they were larger than the rest of it combined and only came out from it's back if it was to glide. They couldn't keep it afloat by flapping, they could only keep it steady. It jumped quickly from the wall to Jinxe, settling down in her lap.

"So, how do we get out of here if they come looking for us?" Tinker voiced, his tone in check and everything about him civilized.

Jinxe started, "How would they? Well, I mean.. I was going to ask what our plans for the future were."

"Why does that matt-" he started to shout, slamming his fist against the table.

But then both of them went deadly silent. For there had just been a much louder sound than his fist. And a moment later, there was another loud knock.

And then, faintly, a voice, "open up!"

And all of them, in unison were thinking that in fact it was too easy. And quickly, Jinxe murmured, "we run."

... Yep I'll probably be on xD

    Oh jeez... ehh
Perhaps these will help with a visual then x.x
I apologize... for... not describing them enough... I guess? xD
    I am sorry though...
It feels like an odd thing to apologize for but lol
    But the good news is
I discovered that metal is fun enough to texture that I'll most likely be up to helping get the visual down for anyone else's characters on this as well xD
with their permission/help of course lol
It gave me a new idea for a character that I'm extremely excited to draw now...
Not tonight, cap... No more tonight...

Hey so I did it ^.^

Sorry if there are any mistakes, I tried to rush it so I could get it up before next week Friday.
My life is a little full because of finals this week.
And I also never write in third-person, so if there are any mistakes with that I apologize
I hope it isn't too rushed by the way

Honestly what motivated me to write this chapter in the first place was that little dragon thing
just it excites me I don't know
imagine it sort of like this and this mixed
Just gears and computer screens and stuff

And no it's alright you described it perfectly well enough
The shapes of their faces and such was just different in my head
Omg you described Jinxe's hair really well I don't even know why it just looks exactly the same as that drawing to me

#thestruggle
I honestly really need to sleep it's 1 AM already and I need to get up at 8 tomorrow
just shame on myself
but I'm really excited about this story!
