Maplekit hissed and leaped on Thornkit nipping his ear

Hawkpaw opened his eyes to the empty
Apprentices' Den. The apprentice yawned
and stretched before pulling himself from
his nest and going outside. He found a
place to sit and began to clean his pelt
with rough strokes of his tongue. After
returning with Blackstreak last night,
he'd helped out with the elders and then
went back to his nest. He kept one eye
on the ceremony that was going on while
cleaning at the same time.

Maplekit turned and bared her teeth "Scared to fight?" she taunted

Thornkit wined and called "Mama Papa!"

"I. Know. How. Kits. Are. Born!" I hissed tightly. "I mean, my family is all barren!"

Sandclaw couldn't hear his kits. He couldn't hear his kits! Oh no! Usually they made so much racket. He ran out of the den. "Guys! Why are you fighting?!" he demanded to know.

Greypaw padded away from the medicine cat den, not wanting to eavesdrop anymore. "Hawkpaw! How was training yesterday?" he asked. "I hope Windheart takes me hunting later." he mewed.

Juniperfur jerked her head. "You should of said that!" She stood and readjusted. "You still cant see him. I'm sorry. No matter what power I have, Starclan wont accept it." She looked at her paws and stood, walking towards the entrance. "You can make your decision tomorrow."
