1X1 with ~Griffin: Blossom and Maverick

"It's... different, from what I'm used to, but it's not bad," she answers, being careful not to hurt his feelings. She was sure that, in time, she would become more acquainted with the flavor and enjoy it more.

Maverick frowned slightly. "Do you not like it? There are plenty of other things I might be able to get for you if you don't want to eat it." He offered, rather than being hurt, and would be delighted to get her something else if need be.

"No, I like it," she says quickly. "Really I do. It's just the first time I've had it is all."

[Maxella Roe]

"Oh. Well, I'm sure you'll get used to it dear. But if you'd like something else to eat, let me know." He smiled at her. "Crab and lobster's always good around here. And I know how to cook it nice if that's what you're into." he wagged his tail gently.

"Well I'm certainly not opposed to trying it sometime, that's for sure," Blossom answers with a smile. She had a good feeling about staying with him forever. She felt so at home being close to him, and it seemed like he just wanted her to be happy. That made her heart swell with... was it love? Perhaps, though she couldn't be sure just yet.

"I'm glad." he nodded, bending down to fill his mouth with more of the delicious fish. Hopefully she would in time learn to love the meal as much as he did. He rather enjoyed fish, and seaweed, and the occasional bug here and there.

Blossom nuzzles his cheek before taking another mouthful of fish from the hole. She definitely enjoyed the cool ocean breeze, the salty scent filling her nostrils. This whole place just felt like home and it was wonderful.

He blushed lightly as she nuzzled his cheek, and returned the affectionate gesture before bending down for another mouthful. The fish was delicious, and sharing a meal with Blossom, out in the cool breeze of the early morning before the sun got hot, was simply perfect. The sweet salt-tainted water cast a mist into the breeze, carrying the wondrous scent straight to their noses.

After all the fish are gone, Blossom presses closer to Maverick and sits beside him, resting her head on his shoulders. It was such a peaceful morning she didn't want to destroy it. Just being with him was nice anyway. He could be someone to hold when she was scared, someone who would make her feel special. He could be the one.

Maverick smiled contentedly, swaying his tail lightly behind him as Blossom rested her head on his shoulder. He swiped his tongue over his maw and raised his paw to his face, beginning to groom himself for the day.
