★Three Words: Arsonphobia (Fear of Fire), Zoanthropy (Some kind of animal madness), Lagarto (Spanish word for lizard)
★Other: Could you do another entry, but have the narrator be the dragon instead of the boy? :3
Hunger. Hunger was what drove the dragon Lagarto on this particular day. Recently the dragon had fallen ill, and with a clouded mind began to violate all rules set to keep peace between dragons and humans. He had began to kill flocks and cattle, prize winning rams fell before him, and fattened cows died to satisfy his hunger. Once again it called to him, dragging him from his hoard to search for more. The beast had been plagued with zoanthropy, that months before had driven him to lose self control. He was no longer a creature of thought, but one of raw instinct. A killer.
As Lagarto stumbled through the undergrowth completely neglecting his wings, he scented something. A tantalizing odor filled his nose. It was one of fear. With one swift turn the dragon headed in the direction with deadly accuracy. Drool pooled inside the creatures mouth, spilling from the sides and dropping to the ground. With his prey before him he leapt from the bushes. A young boy had become the choice prey for the dragon. In the distance a sound caused Lagarto to lose focus. As the boy darted off, the dragon gave chase. Muscles aching from misuse he was beginning to slow, yet remained on the boys tail. When the dragon fell through another wall of bushes and foliage, a group of armed men awaited him.
All the dragon saw was food, his eyes grew wide and a hiss escaped his throat. His eyes darted from one man to the next, wildly trying to figure out who to devour first. Sounds came from the smaller creatures mouths. They were nothing but garbled noises to the sick dragon. Out of the corner of his eye the creature watched as a light sprung towards him. Pain shot through his side as a ball of fire was tossed at the dragon. He growled, trying to shake the searing pain away. When another ball of fire came forward Lagarto leaped back, fear growing inside of him. It overpowered the hunger, the Arsonophobia that most unintelligent creatures possessed washing over him and forcing him away from his meal. With an untriumhpant howl the dragon crashed through the trees, left to hunger a while longer.

Thunder sounded above the earth, the sound of giant drums crashing above the mountains. The dark clouds were brought to life by the lightning racing through them. Torrents of rain fell into the valley, rushing down into the river. Rain water pooled down through the roofs of the village houses, pattering agains pails and pans set to catch the rain water. Elders, adults, children, all slept peacefully through the storm.
Only in the morning did the sun rise to banish the clouds. The blue sky was breaking through the angry clouds. From one of the cottages a head peeked through, dark rusty hair connected to a young boy followed. His bright green eyes scanned the weakening world. Mud made little streams in the sand, leading to puddles, leading to songbirds eagerly pulling worms from them. Everything was peaceful. The young boy with his bright eyes ran along through the streets, mud squelching underneath him. His freckled cheeks seemingly illuminated his childish smile. Giddy he headed to the river.
"Yeah, I'm guessing the storm musta came from the mountain air mixin with that ol' ocean air." A gruff voice said matter-o-factly. He spoke to a tall slender man with a long brown beard. He smiled happily as he watched his son run up. The little boy ran into the man's arms, laughing happily. The boy's father had been away for a while. His small boat was tightly hooked to a post on the shore of the swollen river. The other man watched, happy to see the father and son reunited.
The older man scratched his chin as he walked alone. The world was quiet, and wildly wonderful. He watched the river race on, it's own kind of thunder sounding as it crashed along the shores.
