Ok so I have been playing for a while but this part hasn't quite set in.
'non-exalt homes'
Does that phrase mean people/lairs who dont exalt or people/lairs who won't exalt a certain dragon they want?



Like at first I just didn't exalt, I thought it was the only way to get dragons you want from other people who are selling to 'nonexalt homes', now a days I usually just buy from the AH or get them from roleplay buddies so I never actually figured out the meaning.

It means won't exalt the specific dragon. If I said 'this dragon is free to a non-exalt home!' that just means I don't want that specific dragon I'm giving away to be exalted.

Also, what are the rare genes? And what are the popular genes that everyone wants?

Sometimes they have a rare combo, and only a few have those patterns. When you exalt a dragon, it adds to your flight's exalted dragons. It helps your flight dominate. When your flight is the one that has dominated, you get bonuses.

It means won't exalt the specific dragon. If I said 'this dragon is free to a non-exalt home!' that just means I don't want that specific dragon I'm giving away to be exalted.

Exalting is when you send a dragon to your flight deity and they work for them forever really, so you get treasure from their work when you first exalt them. You don't get to do anything with them after that and you get no more bonuses from the dragon, that's all really. If your flight gets dom from exalting the most, you get certain bonuses.

Rare genes aren't really a thing I'd say. perhaps you mean more uncommon genes. Um newer genes are really good in the market, and overall I feel like people like pretty much every gene. Crackle, by far, is probably the most disliked gene of all. I know I, presonally, like Bar/Daub and Tiger and Hypnotic and spines. Certain genes look good with certain colors [like lighter underbellys usually sell for more and look better to me] and if colors match, no matter the genes, you got a good chance at someone buying a hatchling.

Gem genes [crystal, facet, iri, shimmer, circuit] are rarer to get when bred against non-gem genes
I know other genes are more rare than others I believe, but I can't remember exactly which ones! I just know gem genes are less likely to come out of a breeding unless they are against another gem gene

As everyone else has explained, exalting is the act of sending a dragon off to your deity in return for a certain amount of treasure and/or gems (unless they're your progens. In that case, no currency is awarded to you). When you get into the coliseum, you'll discover the ability to train your dragons to different levels (of experience). When exalting a dragon, the higher the level, the more treasure you'll get.

I'd also like to mention that once you exalt a dragon, you are unable to get it back. The only exception to this is if you accidentally exalt a dragon and send in a help ticket to an admin to get it unexalted. However, you can only do this once and only with recent exalts.

the easiest way I've found to see how rare one gene is to another is through these
though of course someone has probably may a guide to it somewhere cx
