Nagen opened his mouth to issue a reply, but Kenneth interrupted; "Cajun!"
Nagen sighed. "Yeah. That. We even have gumbo stuff up there?" He asked.
"It's where you left it." Kenneth answered, having no trouble whatsoever making it carefully through his tunnels.

Majesty laughs again, purposely stepping on his tail to reprimand him for interrupting before she lifts her paw. "Oops," she says playfully.

Kenneth yapped as she stepped on his tail and took his revenge by tickling her nose with the soft feathering that plumed from the end of it. Nagen couldn't stop himself from snickering as they emerged from the dizzying tunnels, shaking his head. Kenneth and Majesty emerging a moment later into the dusk.

Majesty smiled and nuzzled up to Nagen's side. "He so deserved it," she whispers so only he can hear, curling her tail loosely around his.

Nagen frowned slightly. She had a bit to learn. Kenneth and Nagen did that to each other rather often. It was more so a bit of playful casual banter between the two of them. Besides, he was going to offer her the same response that Ken had anyway. They really were the best of friends, and he didn't know what he would do without Ken. But he didn't reprimand her for stepping on his tail, and it was unlikely that it hurt his friend at all. He smiled and lightly nuzzled her cheek.

She blushed lightly and returned the gesture. He wasn't talking to her or Kenneth. Did that mean she had done something wrong? She felt her heart start to hurt at this thought, and no matter how she tried to reassure herself it wouldn't go away. I just made a huge mistake, she thinks sadly, moving away from him a short distance and laying down. Her appetite was gone now. She couldn't eat, knowing she did something wrong and probably messed up their friendship horribly. And whatever chance you had at anything more.

"Ken, where are the_" Nagen started, but was cut off as the pot landed over his head, knocking him backward.
"Haha. Whoops. S-sorry dude." Kenneth snickered and giggled, pulling the pot off of his friend's head.
Nagen wobbled a bit, shaking his head and frowning. "Really?"
Ken shrugged and helped Nagen position the pot on the firepit, fetching a few rocks to start a fire. Ken worked on that while Nagen trotted back over to Majesty, nuzzling her cheek. "Problem dear?" he asked gently, concerned with her sudden change of demeanor.

She ignores the question, rubbing her cheek lightly over the top of his head. "Are you okay? Did Ken hurt you on accident?" she asks in a whisper. She cared for him deeply and just wanted him to be okay. That was all she needed, for him to be okay.

Nagen chuckled. "Yeah, don't worry about it. That pot's hurting worse than me." He chuckled, referring to how dented up and battered the old thing was. "Trust me dear, it didn't hurt. Ken wouldn't have tossed it at me if he knew it was going to hurt. He can act like a bit of a jerk sometimes, but he's really not. He just takes some getting used to. He can get pretty riled up, especially when we've got company over." he nuzzled her cheek softly.

She smiled and returned the gesture. "So I've gathered," she whispers, not wanting to offend the friend in question. She wasn't quite sure how Nagen put up with him as much as he did, but she supposed that came from them being so close.
