Dawnkit shrieked in fear. "Nothing! Just let me go!" she whimpered. "I just wanted to go play..." she put her face in her paws, shaking under Foxbark's paw.

Dragonsong could feel the evil infecting her. "Twistedstar," she meowed. "Who is the most powerful Shadow this clan has?" she questioned. The White Shadow she-cat was turning dark.

Leafkit flung himself from the nursery and spat furiously at Foxbark. "You leave her alone!" he spat angrily, standing over Dawnkit.

(I'd like to fast forward to when they are all apprentices and all the kits are born soon.)

Twistedstar looked at Bluestar. "Are you a Shadow anymore?" She asked. Looking around camp, she noticed Foxbark, Pinefrost, and Wolfsnarl. "Those three and Milkfur are pretty powerful. The rest? Eh."

Foxbark laughed, picking up the kit with his shark claws. "You see, the thing is I don't think you where." He snarled.

Dawnkit curled up into a ball, trembling. "I wasn't doing anything!" she whimpered, wishing the shadow would just let her go. "Please put me down..."

Dawnkit gasped out a dry sob. "I can't fight you, you'll just kill me." she said. "B-but if you let me g-go, I w-won't tell Twistedstar and Bl-Bluestar on you."

Foxbark sighed. "What you lack in strength...and smarts...you can make up in...well, let me show you." Dropping the kit, he drew his lips back. "Pretend like you're not scared. Fluff your fur and talk back to me, weakling."

Dawnkit flattened her ears and shrank back into Leafkit. "No." she whimpered. "I don't want to." The shadow was absolutely terrifying, so she closed her eyes and wished it would just leave.
