Spluttering, I pulled myself out of the river. I spat out a piece of moss. "Blech! If fish taste anything like that, I don't know why you like them."

I frowned at Fernpaw slightly. "Wonder if we'll actually be able to catch anything now." When Fernpaw looked crestfallen, I relented. "Or, they'll think something they can eat fell in and they'll come in swarms." I turned to Oakleaf. "Well... no." I mutter.

Oakfur laughed. "No, they don't. Fish are way better." he smiled. "I'll demonstrate how to catch one if you'd like. Then I can explain how to do it." he offered Fernpaw.

Oakfur padded up to the river side. He unsheated his claws and flexed them in the air. Oakfur made sure his shadow wasn't falling on the water. Otherwise, the fish would know he was there and swim away. He aimed for where it was going to dodge, not where it was. Oakfur pulled the fish out of the water. It flopped, struggling to breath. He killed it with a swift bite to the gill. "That's how you do it." he mewed with satisfaction.
