Kia smiled at Kaapo, hoping to lift the mood, and she said, "Don't worry, it isn't that far; it's just a couple of blocks away. There will be enough time for you to sleep and find a mate tomorrow."
Kia started to walk toward her den, tail held high.

"Ok." He said, a little cheery. He got up, and started to follow Kia. He wondered what her den would look like, and wondered if her family, if she had it, would take him in.

Kia smiled slightly, glad that he sounded a little happier, and walked next to him toward her den. Kia glanced at him, and she said, "We're almost there! We just go around that corner up ahead, and then we'll be there." They walked around the corner, and it was a dead end. Kia looked at him and said, "Once I show you, please don't tell anyone where it's at; I like my privacy."
She lead him to the end of the alley, and she slipped through an almost unnoticable hole in the wall. Once through, she looked behind her, and she said, "It might be a tight fit, I can barely fit, and you're larger than me. If you don't fit at first, breathe in slightly and hold your breath; it helps."
She waited for him to slip through, and she hoped that he could fit.

"I won't tell anybody." He said, almost not talking as he sucked in ever so tightly just to pop through the entrance. "If you can't get threw yourself, then why do you stay? Also, do you live with your family, or do you have any?" Out of the rain, dry, warm, and his family off his mind, the only problem now was hunger, so he was a little more cheery. Kaapo followed Kia through the rocks, towards her supposedly den.

Kia smiled and thanked him. They walked a little further, it was starting to decline down, suddenly Kia stopped and turned to look at him. "No, I don't have any family anymore. I choose to live here, because it's safe from larger dogs. I can fight whenever I have to, but dogs bigger than me might win. So, that's why I decided to stay, since the dogs that are too big can't fit through the hole. I guess it's kind of like my home now, and I don't want to leave it."
Kia stepped into her den, and she gestured at it saying, "What do you think?" It was a bright spacious room with light filtering in through some small holes in the ceiling. If you looked up through the holes, you could kind of see a human's room up there. In one corner, was Kia's den. It was lined with squirrel and rabbit furs to make it softer. In another corner, there was a food stash of squirrels and rabbits (a few of each).
"I was kind of worried about those holes at first, but there's only a human's house up there. I was worried that rain would come through there. I've been here for a long time, so I've tried to make it nice."

Kaapo climbed down the slant, and felt the soft spots where the squirrel and rabbit pelts lay. Kaapo was kind of nervous when he saw the two-leg house, but breathed repeatedly when he remembered that Kia said he was safe. "Well anyway," Kaapo started. " You know when you get older you can't do that hole either." He said snoodyly.

Kia nodded; she had thought about that before. "I don't think that I'm going to get that much larger since I think that my growing has slowed. If I do get too big though, I'll figure it out whenever I get there," she replied.

"Yeah." Kaapo said shrugging. Kia seemed like a planning, and high self-esteemed dog.
