To: Madame Butterfly. Thankyou for bringing tomato and banana together, Sadly, my story tears them apart.

She sat on the stand, all around her a sea of yellow. Face's looked out at passers by in hope
that they would be picked. Only the older ones knew. Only they knew they wouldn't get picked.
Old, brown and bearing sad faces, they sat at the bottom of the pile, wondering and pondering
what would have happened if they got picked. Nobody knew what happen after being picked, but
surely it was better than being left to rot in the bottom of a crate.. right?

She looked hopeful as a man passed. She was a new one, fresh with not even a black spot on her
skin. Her face broke into a wide smile as she felt the warmth of human hands on her skin. She
saw the look of envy on all of the other bananas faces as she rose into the air. Then, suddenly
all she saw was black. She knew where she was after watching the many Bananas before her. She sat
in the quiet before hearing a small voice.

'ahem.'

She almost jumped out of her perfectly yellow skin. 'Who, who's there?' She said, trembling.
'Uhhh... me?' she felt something wriggle beneath her and sure enough, out popped... a tomato. 'Uh,
hello?' she said, almost laughing at the shocked exression on his face. 'How'd you end up here?'
And that was how it started. 2 hours later, they were being unpacked, best of friends. They sat
together, on the table laughing. She had never had conversation like this! He was witty, charming,
everything she loved wrapped up in one little red ball. She was so entranced by this brilliant
conversation that she didn't notice the hand. She didn't notice went it reached and got the
blender out of the cupboard. She didn't notice when it grabbed apples and strawberries out of
fruit bowl, even though they were screaming at the top of thier voices. She only noticed when it
reached down and grabbed her, stealing her away from her lover. 'TOM!' She shouted down, wincing as
the hand dropped her into the blender. 'Stop it!' He shouted up 'Put her down you monster!' Tears ran
down his face. 'I don't want to live my short life without you!' He hopped as high as he could, nearly
reaching the blender. She looked through the semi-clear plastic walls of the blender. 'I-I love you! she
screamed, 'I love you more than anything or anyone in the world!' all she could do then is watch the
tears cascade down his face, as the whole world turned black.
