a couple things weren't in brackets so i put them in some
and moved a few things around and that fixed the issue

I am not sure if you knew this, but you can make it so there is no gap inbetween the images if they are layered vertically on top of each other xP
You do this by putting [size= 10] in front of the [right ] command, then paste the images you wish for that column, and then end the code off with [/ size] and [/ right] respectively.

I don't know if I'm doing it right but it doesn't seem to be working for me

ug first world problems. how do i get both of the gifs on the right to not have a space in between?

I had a fiddle and I realized that no, that was not correct.
What you need to do is the following:
[ size = 10][ left][ image] [/image][image ][/ image][ /size][/ left]
That means
Size command first, then character alignment command, then the code for all of the images, then finish it off with the size command before finallly finishing it off with the character alignment command, so you are working in columns.
