Not exactly. A daemian is someone who takes their internal voice (the internal monologue, as it's known in psychology) and converts it to a dialogue. So instead of thinking, "Man, I hate having to do homework...I wonder what's on tv?" the person might think "Man, I hate having to do homework." and the daemon responds "Maybe you can find something to watch on tv instead?" That's a really crude and basic example, but it's a start. :3 Form finding and projecting is about finding an animal that exemplifies your personality, the traits of the animal correlate with traits of your personality and won't necessarily be your favorite animal, but rather an animal that expresses who you are, good and bad. You can project this form as a sort of invisible companion, they can remain in your headspace akin to head mates, or they may not have to be projected at all.
Over time, with meditation and practice, these companions can be invaluable for introspection, easing bouts of loneliness and helping you truly understand yourself. I've known my daemon for 12 years this year, we talk to one another on a daily basis and form finding with him has really helped me appreciate myself for all my faults and gifts. He came out of the box, so to speak, with a full personality but some people take a lot of time to get to know their daemons, the nuances of their psyche and how they can be of benefit. They can be funny, sarcastic, serious, kind, crude, chiding, it's quite an individual thing. They make excellent focuses for spiritual practices, they can be very grounding or uplifting. They're your natural internal voice, your conscience.

Oh shoot. I've always had this like alternate person in my head and when I was little I would think of questions like "I wonder what tooth paste is made out of" and the other voice would go "Well I dont know, go look it up" and when I got older I thought it was just me talking to myself or being crazy, because I would always argue with the other "person" in my head.. would that be what a daemian is? (Sort of?)
