Backstory:
I've been thinking about my species lately, and realized that I really don't have a lot of information on the mascot I designed. And try as I might, I can't seem to think up a great past for him.
I then had the idea to host this contest, and give out some prizes to certain CS users who are more creative than myself.

Using the information all ready known about the mascot and the information known about the species (check the FAQ for most info), enter this competition.

Using the information all ready known about the mascot and the information known about the species (check the FAQ for most info), enter this competition.
There are several things you can do should you wish to enter this competition.
1. Write a history/backstory/past for our mascot.
- * Your backstory MUST abide by the species' information. (Example: Voxxies are blind, so don't have them describing what things look like.)
* Try your best to use proper English. (One or two mistakes won't cost you the competition, but if your grammar or punctuation is so bad that it distracts from the actual story, then you probably won't win.)
* No bad language - there are children on this site.
* Your story MUST be at least 400 words long to enter.
* There is no max to how long the story can be.
* Creativity will get you far! The more creative you are, the better off you'll be for winning the competition! (I'd rather see creativity over length - if your story is exactly 400 words and is the most creative thing I've ever read, I'll award the prize to you rather than to a person who wrote 1,000 words on an uncreative topic.)
* If you feel uncomfortable posting your entry on this thread, feel free to PM me with your submission once it is COMPLETELY finished. (I will accept only one submission via PM from each person. If you decide you want to add to it later and have all ready sent it to me, you cannot resend it - at that point, you'll HAVE to post it on the thread. If you decide to post on the thread, all you have to do is post once and then edit that post however many times you'd like to finish your story.)
2. Write/Create a comic detailing the history/backstory/past of our mascot.
- * Your backstory MUST abide by the species' information. (Example: Voxxies are blind, so don't have them describing what things look like.)

* Feel free to draw a comic using solely sequential art (meaning that the story is just shown through pictures without any words).
* Your comic must be at least 2 pages long.
* There is no limit on how many pages your comic can have.
* Your comic can include a cover page if you'd like it to - if your comic DOES have a cover page, this will NOT count towards your 2-page minimum. (However, if you include it, you may be more likely to win against someone who does not have one.)
* Creativity over length - I'd rather read a 4-page comic that perfectly and creatively explains this little guy's history than a 50-page comic that only scratches the surface.
* You may use any program to create the comic, should you wish to do so - just make sure the terms and conditions of that program allow you to do so.
* Feel free to do this entirely by yourself without any program - if you draw traditionally, feel free to do that!

3. Write and/or create a song for our mascot describing his history/backstory/past.
- * Your backstory MUST abide by the species' information. (Example: Voxxies are blind, so don't have them describing what things look like.)
* The minimum time limit on how long the song should be is 30 seconds. (Half of a minute.)
* There is no maximum time limit on how long the song should be.
* The song can be any genre you'd like it to be. (If the genre better fits the mascot, you are more likely to win.)
* No bad language - there are children on this site.
* You may choose any website to host your finished video on, but I personally prefer youtube as that's the one site I know works with my computer. Feel free to choose whatever you'd like, though.
* You may use any program to create the music, should you wish to do so - just make sure the terms and conditions of that program allow you to do so.
* Feel free to do this entirely by yourself without any program - if you play an instrument and want to do that, feel free to do so! If you sing and want to do that, go right ahead!
