Oekaki/Java problems & solutions

This may or may not have been asked/solved already, but since Chrome's no longer working for java, I've had to use IE for the oekaki picture my lil sis wants me to do. I need to save it (soon, if possible, because I'll likely have to turn off my computer in a little while), but I need to make sure it's saved as an oekaki, for later editing.
Every time I click to save, it takes only a second before giving me this error;

Why am I getting this, can it be fixed, and will I be able to save this picture? D:

I'm not sure of the difference, or how to tell which version I'm using. I'm making a 'colour-me in' of a picture my sister made a couple of months ago, and she uses the oekaki a lot, so I'm not sure she'd be using an older version.
But if it works individual to the user/computer then I guess that wouldn't count.
How do I know which version I'm using?

To you, it's only the version on your account that matters. ^^; Oekakis made on V1 don't make an effect, last I knew.

Ahhh I see now! Lil sis didn't think to warn me about that. ;P
Image is gone but I'll redraw it tomorrow.

Hey, I have a problem. I've got the latest version of Java, but it says this:

I have this exact same problem. It was fine then I wouldn't let me run it so I did update Java and it still won't run.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned recently, but now I'm beginning to have Java problems again.
[I use FireFox by the way]
When I start chibipaint, it has the standard Java loading screen, but then something pops up saying

Application Blocked by Java Security

For security, applications must now meet the requirements for the High or Very High settings, or be part of the Exception Site List, to be allowed to run. More information.

Reason: Your security settings have blocked an application signed with an expired or not-yet-valid certificate from running.

and even after I add ChickenSmoothie to the Exception Site List, it still won't work. Am I doing something wrong, did I miss something, or do I just need to update my Java? [I don't know what version I'm running to be honest, and I stopped updating Java anyways because it kind of got a bad reputation for me when there was a time the latest version of Java wouldn't work.]

Im having the exact same problem. Its javas fault obviously, but I would love to see someone here find a fix.

Ok guys for now the only work around I know is, try and load up oekaki. It doesn't matter if it doesn't fully load, just copy that url to it. Then paste that in the Java exceptions list. After I did that it's running fine.

Well thats a temporary fix as you would have to do that every single time you load up a different oekaki page, but yeah thats kinda something that would work.
