I laid in my bed, staring at the ceiling. I'd slept for about an hour before some girl had screamed something about apples and awoken me. Sunlight seeping into my cabin warned me that it was still too bight outside. Omen purred beside me while I stroked her warm flank. She took up most of the bed but I was used to sleeping in the cramped corner she left me. I wasn't tired enough to sleep but I knew if I stepped into that bright a sun, I'd probably just collapse... Or possibly burn... I still wasn't sure if I had that vampiric trait. I just sat there on my bed naming the various constellations and symbols on the roof.

I woke up and the first thing I did was go to the Hephaestus cabin to fix my helicopter. After wards I passed by the Hecate cabin and saw that my friend Nova was in there. Soo I stayed in the sunlight her weakness and told my helicopter to fly in hitting her with bright paint balls.

I looked at him with a serious face and crossed my arms. "Nope not working." I watched as Eli walked away with the new kid. Erg I hope they don't have a thing with eachother or that new girl will never get the end of it. I thought.

Suddenly there was a flood of sunlight and I was being pelted by paint balls. The light blinded and momentarily stole my energy. I couldn't defend myself from the attack but Omen jumped up and crushed the helicopter between her jaws. Anger fueled me and I burst open the doors with shadows from the darkest corners of the room. However, in my rage I forgot about the sunlight so the moment the doors opened, I collapsed and my shadows dispersed, free from my command.
