He wanted to go out for a hunt, but pain collapsed his bones. He had to face it. He was getting old. He found Owlstar not busy, so he decided to come up. It was the time to shift to the elders den. "Owlstar?" He mewed. "May I talk to you?" "Alone." He added.

Spiritwind slightly understood what he was saying. "Yeah- I'm fine, except for the fact that my hearing is getting worse." She said quietly as her blue eyes glinted. "What about you?" She could still talk, but she couldn't hear things that well anymore, and she was onto 28 moons old...


Tumblepaw saw Sunpaw in the apprentices den and ran over to her tackling her onto the ground. "SUNPAW!" He squeaked making sure to not hurt Stormkit. He stepped back breathing heavily as he watched her with his eyes wide and his paws red.

Silverdawn coughed inside the Healers den looking out. "O...oakfang?" She asked quietly.

Brackenflame gave a small reassuring smile, mouthing out, I'm okay. He touched his ears and shook his head,
then mouthing out, how bad is it?

Brackenflame gave a small smile. 'It's okay," he mouthed out, 'We all know you have excellent eyesight and wonderful fighting skills. He shrugged, weighing two paws, "I think that that makes up for it. You're special, Spiritwind, and will always be", he mouthed out again.

Spiritwind smiled softly. "I'm not that special. I just worked hard with my mentor to train for if my hearing did go..." She said softly.

Owlstar turned as his name was asked, along by requested privacy. He acknowledged the elderly warrior, Notail. "Of course, Notail. Come, we can talk in my den." He padded to his den, stopping when he was a few tail-lengths away for it. Gesturing for Notail to come, he wondered about the possibilities Notail wanted to discuss. He came across a thought about letting Notail retire as an elder, and couldn't see any flaws about it.
