Marionette was born with three legs, but had to have his other three removed when he got sick as a cub with something similar to cancer in humans. He then got the replacements which he uses today.

Marionette's orb hangs from his right horn. It is filled with the sickness he had, as the Poculum Warg who cured him had to move the sickness to Marionette's orb. He can't leave his orb too far away from him, otherwise it will break and the sickness will come back, possibly costing him his life. His orb is now black because of the cancer-like disease.

How do it loose it's real legs?: A great war was fought, and it was was the leader of the Yang. The Yin side (they were evil) almost killed Lawliet, but it didn't die. So, they took the legs.
Where's the orb?: When battling, the orb went missing somehow. Because of the battle fought, and it's popularity, a story was puled from the dark woods, where it should have stayed, that the others took off with their orb,
