Avocetwing then halted, turning tail as they began to hasten their pace and return to camp as Falconpaw mentioned that they now may seem suspicious.

He padded over to Cherryblossom and Honeykit. "I saw him with Dovestar, Avocetwing, Silverfur, and Falconpaw." he informed her, trying to soothe the anxious queen.

She sighed softly, grateful that he wasn't alone in the forest. "Why was he out of camp?" she asked, demanding to know. "Honeykit, do you know anything about this?" she questioned her kit.

Honeykit widened her eyes. Her mother didn't even trust her! She suddenly lost control of her emotions. "I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT!!" She yowled, and ran away to the dirt place. She didn't leave camp, and she was unknowingly still in her mother's view. "What just happened..?" She asked herself, beggining to cry.

Falconpaw suddenly halted, the feeling of being watched like prey returning. She looked around the forest, seeing nothing but the forest. Her black fur rose along her spine, bristling with defense. Falconpaw knew a cat was watching her, but who it was, she didn't know.

The deputy felt uneasy as he glanced back at Falconpaw, feeling a sudden chill. He tried his hardest to keep is composure, but was too frightened to even utter a syllable. "Do you f-feel that?" He stuttered, his voice breaking sharply. Intent on keeping the apprentice save, he moved closer to her before their pelts were brushing. Avocetwing awkwardly stepped away, mumbling a faint apology before glimpsing over his shoulder. The camp was too far off to run for.
