"It was a dream love, nothing more" Rin cooed, rubbing her thumb on his cheek. She wrapped her arms around his neck and returned his hug as he shook against her.

Kalten's grin faded into a stoic gaze. "It's in the past" he replied, stroking his leg again.

Pallon shook his head. "no it was my worst nightmare."

"aye, it is more or less." Avian replied.

Rin pulled back slightly and rested her forehead on his. She placed both of her hands on either side of his face and closed her eyes, "Nightmares are just dreams twisted by fear. I won't pester you for details, but just know we're here and safe, for the most part". She opened her eyes with a slight grin.

Kalten donned a sarcastic look, "Do you ever give a straight answer"?

Pallon looked at her. "...ok..."

"it's an assassin thing." Bears voice came from the other side of the tree.

Avian nodded.

Rin kissed Pallon's forehead and continued to lay on his chest as she nestled into his hold, "Do you want a distraction to get your mind off of it? I could go grab my book"?

Kalten groaned and shook his head, "That's the only straight answer I ever get"!

Pallon nodded slowly. "yes please."

Bear chuckled. "I can say it again but I think you get the point."

Avian smiled slightly.

Rin slid off of him easily and dug through her saddle pockets until she found the small leather bound book. She sat by his side, her back against his shoulder, "Which would you like to hear"? She flipped through the pages trying to think of a calming story.

Kalten looked to where the voice was coming from and rolled his eyes, "Yes I do so please dont".

Pallon reluctantly let her go. "any of them."

Bear chuckled again. He had now moved behind them.
