Jerry seeing the night has passed yawns as well in response, he says softly "Oh, splash I'm sorry but your bed is in the same room as mine"
Jerry has had a dog bed in his room in fact for a very long time, it being stocked with a few new toys and an old collar from a friend long passed hangs on a peg above the bed.
Jerry smiles and runs his hands down her neck to her back slowly " I'll tell you a story before bed, how about that.."
Jerry knows that its unlikely Splash understands his words, but continues to speak anyways " it was a long time ago, I found a puppy in the drainage ditch, he was cold and lonely, maybe even half dead when I got him. I took him in to my arms and hurried to the house, we dried off together. I looked to him and said that nothing would ever hurt him."
Jerry shakes head and a tear hits the ground " Nothing however the forces of my promise couldn't slow the progression of cancer, he lived a long life of 9 years for a lab mix I think."
I look to Splash and smile slightly " I'll open my heart to you splash, and I'll promise that within my power nothing will ever come to harm you. We will have a great time together and that much I can promise you"
Jerry smiles says softly to her "Now, how about a quick bathroom break before bed" as I gather the leader to clip to the D ring on her collar.

Splash looks up to him smiles. After, she starts to run in circles and bark. *after the bathroom break* Splash yawns again and curls up on the bed sniffing it. She tries to figure out the smell. But then ignores it, then barks as if she is trying to say goodnight, and goes to sleep.

Morning comes as usual, being a weekend day I'd have nothing to do usually. Jerry slides out of the bed and puts feet on the floor. Slowly staggering to the to the door I accidently nudge the rope toy with my foot, I look over to see that Splash is happily sleeping on the bed. I smile widely and attempt to not wake her from her slumber.
Jerry staggers out of the room to the bathroom, tossing the rope toy upon the yet unmade bed that he crawled out of. The bed is soft and inviting to most dogs that would see it, and Jerry wouldn't care if Splash were to take up residence in it as he is used to sleeping with a dog on the bed. The morning coffee brewing fills the room, the bacon in the pan sizzles as well as the eggs cooking.
Jerry is fixing two plates today, one for him and one for Splash as well.
