His eyes fumed, his breaths hot and raspy as he gripped the broken picture frame in his hands, leaning over the edge of the desk as he traced his fingers over the shattered bits of glass. "...This old man taught you better than that, Ember. If you're going to go down, you go down mannerly, not like the rogue that you are," he hissed through gritted teeth, shaking his head roughly and scratching the bald spot on the back of his head with distaste. "Little Emily is none of your buisness...you lost that privilidge when you became a monster, one of them."

We protect our own damn kind you unlawful bloody, heartless crap! You experiment on us for a living- tourture us, WHIP ME, for example, and OTHERS- you killed Lily, my little sister- without reasoning, and I STILL took orders from you! You call us the monster.." I spat, my fur bristling on my back, hissing.

He cocked an eyebrow when a shifter interrupted them, but the old man only waved his hand. "Patient 72, and co-worker of the industry. Funny seeing you here...now run along. I will have your kind destroyed soon enough, I've slready decoded the perfect vial dose to exterminate you, a whole room full, even. I have some quite unauthorized buisness with Ember, now, thank you very much," he nodded clenching his jaw a as he gestured torwards the door.

She frowned, clenching her jaw in heavy thought as she lingered there. After a moment she sucked in a sharp breath, her vibrant blue eyes bleak beneath the dim shadows. "...I know they'll hurt you, inject your heart with tortures beyond understanding. You're a shifter, like me. I can smell the harsh scent of human, and the strain that cage was giving you was beyond obvious. Seriously, letting a leopard like you out wasn't even a question...I'm not some heartless feline how'd rather see an animal be crushed beneath the industry, for mere fun, trust me. I haven't seen him for years now, Emily has nothing to do with this. Leave. Her. Be."

Ben chuckled deeply, and transformed back into a human, facing the old man, "Oh- but you see, what if Emily found out about this? She'd be broken- ah poor.. poor old man. No more love in his heart, torn into pieces by hatred of creatures so mere, they are only the same as you." He spat quietly. "You see, I know, you want to see your son, but do you have the heart to love him? I doubt it- since you first called him a monster, second off haven't even spoke to him for years." He turned to Ember then turned back to him. "I know what it feels like to lose a father," He growled loudly, "You took that away from me, and it hurts, everyday my mind bursting with memories, painful ones, that only lead to Hell. Are you going to leave Ember without a father- to love him? To be father-like- or rather be a worthless killing monster, destroying his friends, the things he loves?" He stared at him, wildly tossing his thoughts.

He shook his head roughly, the old man adjusting his specticles below his eyes as he glared at the shifter. "...I believe I will have them escort you out, now, number 73. And, just for your satisfication, I do have a heart. It beats at a range for about fifty to ninety doses of pure, human blood, and it supports this old body...whether it feels anything mentally, my boy, I wouldn't be so sure. We are scientists, we stick to facts, solutions, revenues. My social life has no meaning at this point, it's useless for you to try to gain selfless pity, for I have none."

He spat, pulling out his pistol and aiming it at his chest, "I would kill you, but... you're already dead." He chuckled, keeping the gun pointed at him. His senses picked up guards rushing up the stairs. "You're a lucky old man, but I wouldn't savior that for to long.." He smirked lightly, sticking his pistol in his pocket, transforming, and slashing his claws at the guards, having a shot burst through the shoulder blade. Struggling, he managed to get up, slamming them against the wall and rushing down the stairs out the industry doors.
