Mossfire looked around as cats began to murmurer her
name, Smallstar being the first followed by others. She
shook her head in disbelief and sorrow. Her eyes were
pleading as she met each cat's gaze. "I lost my kits last
leaf bare..no cat here knows what that's like." Her gaze
turned angry. "It wasn't my fault! It was too cold, and
they were too thin. Spottedpelt should have done more,
could have done more! And the rest of you did nothing!"
Mossfire sprang to her paws, fire that was her namesake
clear in her eyes. "Everyone who died deserved it, it was
for my kits.." Her voice faded towards the end, and her
tail drooped, thoughts turning to the past. Smallstar's
gaze was equally dark as he stepped forward. "Mossfire,
you have killed countless members of this Clan, and for
that I banish you. If you are ever caught in ThunderClan's
territory again, we will kill you." Mossfire spat at him, her
tail fluffed up. "Good riddance! I'll find a better place to
raise my kits than here!" Glancing swiftly at her swollen
belly, the queen turned and fled out of camp. She made
it to a farm, just outside the Clan territories, before stop
ing due to exhaustion. There were rats and mice there,
and it was warm. Better yet, there were no other cats or
anyone else, besides the sheep and dogs. The dogs
were easily avoidable. And so it came that Mossfire
was banished from ThunderClan, and the remaining
Clan survived, mourned their losses, and moved on.
Congratulations, ThunderClan! You have caught the killer!
