About the Species
Kittyhawks are an original species made by me, FandomsAssemble. The original concept was made about a year ago, before I was on Chicken Smoothie.
Kittyhawks are feline-like creatures, with a long, slim tail ending with feathers. When they are born, they have 3 feathers, and when they are children, they have 5 feathers, and when they reach adulthood, there are 7 feathers. Kittyhawks also have pieces of skin on their front legs which enable them to glide, similar to flying squirrels. Both their front and back legs are built more like humans so that they can spread out their limbs to glide. The species also is recognizable by their slanted eyes and large ears. Kittyhawks, being related to felines, can come in any color that a domestic cat can, along with some colorings from other animals, though cat markings are the most common. Odd colored eyes are possible, but considered rare.
Rules
- A normal user can have up to 6 Kittyhawks [including newborns and children]. An artist, moderator, or staff member can own up to 8 Kittyhawks [including newborns and children]. Artists, moderators, and staff members can also own up to 4 custom Kittyhawks, which counts toward their total of 8. A normal user cannot own customs unless I have given you one for a reason.
- If you are going to leave CS and are currently owning Kittyhawks/a Kittyhawk, please post a notice on this thread, and your Kittyhawks/Kittyhawk will be given to another loving home.
- If you disobey the rules, you will be given a strike. 3 strikes equals a permanent ban from the Kittyhawk species.
- Be respectful to everyone.
- Do not ask to be a staff member, artist, or any such thing.
- Unnatural colors [blue, pink, purple, etc.] will not be allowed as pelt colors.
- You can take these drawings offsite, but you MUST credit me as the artist, AND ask for permission from me first.
- You cannot roleplay, post on another site, claim as yours, etc. a Kittyhawk that is not yours.
- This is a species that does not like or interact with humans.
- Have fun with your Kittyhawks! :3THIS IS SO OLD. IT IS CLOSED BECAUSE I CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER. SORRY TO THOSE WHO ADOPTED.

Breeding
Breeding is only able to be done between a male and female couple. After they breed, an artist will color in the kit/s and post them when they are "born". These kits will grow into children in 2 weeks, and will then grow into a full-grown adult 2 weeks later [at the total age of one month old]. After that, the Kittyhawk will remain at the adult stage, and will never die.
To request a breeding to take place, go to this thread: Breeding threadBreeding Rules
- To be bred, the two Kittyhawks must both be adults.
- The two Kittyhawks that were bred have to wait until the kit/s from their last litter are grown into children to breed again.
- A female Kittyhawk can only mother 6 litters in her lifetime, so as not to cause overpopulation.
- A male Kittyhawk can only father 10 litters in his lifetime, so as not to cause overpopulation.
- Genders of the kit/s will be revealed at one week of age.
- There are only 3 slots per week, so act fast!
