~THE ISLAND OF NO RETURN~ version 2 (accepting forever!)

Ailowny caught the wave the male sent her and swam faster, glad he was friendly. She stopped a few feet from him, her long white hair floating around her. She kept it out of her face with pearl hair pins, so her face could be better seen. All of a sudden maybe shy, it was a moment of staring before the selkie said anything. "Well met, I am Ailowny, from the Red bull of the Northern Aurora tribe. Currently I am on my own, though..." Her last sentence was quieter with a blush, and she shyly but excitedly did a little flip, then put her hand on her hip as pale blue eyes stared at the male. She was aware he was older than her, and would not be a target of affection. But she was still nervous about being on her own.

"don't have to tell me twice." Sam replied. he found a good sized tree with two limbs growing closely parallel to each other. slinging the vines over his shoulder he quickly climbed the tree. he had lost his shoes in the ocean so it was a bit easier. once he reached the two branches he started weaving the vines back and forth, making a sort of hammock in between the two limbs. "can you hand me those big leaves i picked?" he asked Skye and pionted to them.

Athenos gave a small, courteous bow. "pleased to meet you, Aliowny. i'm prince Athenos." he replied, his statment clear from the band of gold across his forehead. "what brings you so close to the island?" he asked politely.

I picked up the leaves and stretched up, handing them to him. "If you can, you might want to plug your ears with moss while you sleep. Sirens often sing at night just because they love to." I glanced away. Just thinking about singing made me want to sing so badly k could barely contain it. Five days was a long time for any siren to go without singing. "Even in human form, a siren's voice still carries all of its power, so be careful."

Sam took the leaves and nodded in response. "okay, thanks. i think i'll do just that." he layered the leaves across the tops of the vines so that he could use them as blankets at night and set the supplies Skye had given him under one. he climbed down and inspected his work. "i think that'll do for now." he decided and pulled the map she gave him out of his back pocket. "in the meantime, i'm starving. i'm going to see if i can pick any of those fruits you were talking about."

Ailowny tilted her head, and pulled her strong white tail up to her almost shyly, one of the fins half-hiding her blushing face. "Oh!" She hadn't realized he was a prince, and she was so rude. "I-I hope I haven't interrupted his highness in any way!" When Prince Athenos asked her a question, she focused her rainy blue eyes downward answering his question. "I- uh, just traveling, actually." She swished her tail to and fro nervously. "I-I know I'm rather far from my home, but, I just- wanted to see what else was out here!" Ailowny grinned mischievously.

I nodded. "There are some edible roots you can easily get to by the stream. I might go pick some berries myself." I started off into the woods to find some.

Athenos gave a light laugh. "no it's quite alright. i like talking to people." he replied. he always found it a little amusing that everyone made such a fuss about him when they realized he was a prince. listening to her words a bit he smiled and replied, "well i think that's as good a reason to travel as any. i've only visited a few places off the indian ocean. how long have you been traveling?"

Sam waved to her as he started walking. "okay! i guess i'll see you later then!" he called and started looking for those trees.

I hunted around and found a large leaf I could use to carry berries in. I meandered around until I filled it up and made my way back to the tree, eating as I went. I left half of the berries for Sam, and wrote a note. I'm going to the far side of the island tonight. I'll be back in the morning. The urge to sing was strong, and tonight was a full moon. I didn't want to be near him when I sang, so I figured the best way to protect him was to be far from him. I carefully but quickly walked around the island's edge.

(hey guys i'm back!)

Sam found quite a few trees and managed to come back with his arms full of bananas, mangos, and apples. once he got back he noticed the berries Skye left for him. he smiled as he read her note. she was really nice. he carried the berries and fruit up to his hammock and ate them as he watched the sunset.
