Silver nickers softly, "It's nice to meet you, Haandel." She turns to look to her right with her ears pricked forward as she hears a stallion let out a low bellow causing her to whinny softly.

Moonlight
Moonlight nudged Lyr to the side, taking her place and resting her head on Haandle's back, as yet another mare, by the name of silver, emerged.

Haandel
The light colored stallion nickered softly, trying to keep Silver's attention on him. He whisked his long tail at the flies, bobbing his head.

(Ok, um I think Lyr' s going to try to be lead actually)
Lyr
I was a fair amount larger than most mares, and she had only been in this herd for about a minute longer than me, so I decided that I was just as capable, if not stronger, and I have the right to at least try to be lead mare. So, I bushes her and took back my place with a slight snort after nipping at her.

Silver nickers back to Haandel and gives him most of her attention as she warily eyes the two mares who appeared to about to have a fight over the lead mare spot.

(I did the randomizer last night just in case. Moonlight was even, Lyr was odd. I did the randomizer three times; first was 9, then 7, then 3. So, Lyr wins.)

Haandel
He stepped away to let the mares sort themselves out. Lipping Silver's mane, he nickered to her, "Don't mind them. It won't take themselves long to sort it out."

Moonlight reared, striking out with her legs as she kicked Lry out of the way. She was pretty tall for a mare her age, and she had the advantage of fighting experience(fighting off predators). She nipped Lyr's delicate ears, causing the mare to squeal.
