Smallstar walked up to the other cats. "Two murders this time?" he gasped. Oh StarClan, can't you help ThunderClan? "L-let's get ready to bury th-them tonight," he stuttered. The leader was nervous that he would be killed next, or he would be voted off.

[gallifrey falls.]

Scatterpaw looked around at the faces of the cats around
him in shock, his amber eyes wide. "Why would I have any
reason to kill Spottedpelt? It is obvious the murder was by a
stronger cat, anyway!" Smallstar stepped forward, sorrowful.
"You know a cat must go, Scatterpaw. The Clan has chosen
you." Scatterpaw's tail drooped, and he padded dejectedly
from the ThunderClan camp, his eyes dull. He wandered onto
the Thunderpath by mistake and was struck by a monster. Alas,
the Clan was wrong in their choice.
Watch out, ThunderClan! There is still a murderer among you!

Gingerstorm padded out of camp, assigned to the midnight
patrol. She was meeting up with two others to patrol the
borders and territory itself. The midnight patrol was new,
just added by Smallstar in light of the recent murders. Her
pawsteps were soft on the forest floor below, and her eyes
and ears kept a keen lookout around her. It was through this
that she became aware she was being followed. Turning to s
earch the forest around her, Gingerstorm stumbled as a cat
crashed into her, knocking her off her paws. Years of battle
experience made her response quick, and she was on her paws
again in a moment. Her eyes widened. "You!" she spat, eyes
blazing. Her attacker merely hissed, and leaped at her again.
Gingerstorm fought hard and well, but poor timing caused her
to lose her balance and fall against a rock. Dazed, the deptuy
was unable to fight back as the other cat's claws flashed across
her throat. Her only hope as her life drained away was that her
Clan could identify the murderer, now that she could no longer
protect them.

Bearclaw was on the new midnight patrol when he heard Gingerstorm. He tried to get there quickly, but he had fell a few times and once he got there, he saw the deputy dead, by a cut throat. Something rose up from the warriors throat as the large tom let out a cry of pain. "Gingerstorm! Gingerstorm!" He yowled as he tried to wake her up, getting blood on his paw, he was hoping she was playing a nasty trick on him, but he knew, deep down, that she was dead.

Duskfeather was hunting late at night to calm cats about the murders when he heard Gingerstorm's cry of pain and Bearclaw's yowl. Forgetting the mice, he ran as quickly as he could towards the noise. Seeing Gingerspots made him freeze in fear. "N-n-no. Not our deputy..." He stuttered.
