And the more male we have her that grow strong the stronger this pride will be..." He pointed out. He looked at little kovu. "This cub and I share no relation only the fact that Zira took me in and protect me so will repay back her kindness by keeping her cub as safe as I can" he said blankly.

Xiomara :: Outsider

Shaking her head at the little cub, Xiomara just smiled a knowing smile. "That is true, but you share a pride now. That is family. We may be an odd mix but we look out for our own. Just like you have given yourself the job of looking out for little Kovu."

"Because I'm obligated to.." Motai repeated. "Besides..l when I get older I'm leaveing.. Like I'm going to be on my own.." He told her. "Like say... I will protect any pride member because I feel obligated. But if I where to fail and one where to die.. I would not morn because I do not feel that bond you all do.." He said.

Xiomara :: Outsider

Not wanting to upset the young cub, Xiomara changed the topic.
"Have you eaten today?"

Motai looked up. "if you think you where agitating me your fine, speak freely.. I don't bite." He promised. He the. Looked back at kovu befor settling himself down. "But if you wish to know... Yes I have aten.." He said.

Xiomara :: Outsider

"Very good." Xiomara nodded and gave him a small shoulder bump. "And I would hope you do bite little one! How else will you grow up to be strong?" She chuckled to herself over her own corny joke. "But in all seriousness little one, I am here for you. You are family and you will be protected as long as I am here. As will little Kovu. Don't think that you are the sole protector of him. The pride looks after their own."
Gazing up at the darkening sky, Xiomara chuffed.
"Soon it will be dark. Time to call Kovu back and head to the dens. Sleep will do everyone some good."




{Only mentioned sleep because its past 2am here and I should be heading to bed. I promise I will be on later in the day! I hope I'm not overstepping too much. If so let me know C:

Yawned and looked up at motai.

Zara's mouth turned into a little o when he explained breifly about his past. "I'm sorry." she replied before curling up away from Ramses, she wished she could curl right up to him, stealing the warmth from his large body but she wasn't going to push it.

Ramses:
"There's nothing to be sorry for, it's not your fault and it's just how things are run around here." I say. I wasn't too fond of others looking at me like I was some injured puppy. Their pity just made me feel weak and useless. "Go to sleep, you'll need it." I turn my attention to the sky outside that was turning a dark shade of blue as the sun set and the first stars were starting to appear.
