I don't really need any wigs at the moment, I just got the two I need for this year in the post like a week ago.
It's awesome that they are so cheap right now, but the exchange rate and shipping still makes it unlikey for me to purchase anything from them any time soon. Every time I go to a cosplay meet up someone is complaining about the awesomeness and the huge price tag that puts them off getting arda wigs.

I only get wigs if I'm dead set on doing a particular cosplay. And because of a lack of major cosplay events, I don't end up usually getting more than about one wig per year. I currently have five wigs, and I've only been cosplaying since 2012.

mostly getting fabric for major sewing project cosplays are the most expensive part for me, which is why I try and suppliment my big projects, with little ones, that I can do out of stuff I already have.
this is the first year I've tried doing three big projects, rather than one big one and two smaller ones. and with two months to go till the con, i'm starting to regret it.

omg yes buying fabric is a sad thing T_T

I just had to buy some upholstery fabric for a costume that was 40 dollars a yard

like kill me now please

I find that wigs are a pretty good thing to ask for as gifts though. Like if one of my friends is like "idk what to buy you for the holidays, what do you want?" I'll just link them to a wig on ebay or something. They're usually pretty cheap, so my friends can easily buy them as gifts.

then I can just break the bank with my fabric purchases lol

idk what fabric stores you guys have near you, but Hancock and Hobby Lobby tend to have pretty good coupons sometimes, if you can wait it out

the fabric for my red riding hood cloak alone came to almost $100. that was for a total of 4 metres (2 meters of two sorts of fabric, and that was when the more expensive of the fabrics was on sale at almost $40 a metre) the rest of the costume comes to under $15 thanks to thrift store finds.

My friend is making me a cosplay for a con at the end of this month, like it's in 11 days, and they have 3 cosplays to make, and they haven't even finished the first one.

I am not panicking nope.

Don't worry, like 70% of cosplay work is done in the three days before the con, including the night before ( i've met plenty of cosplayers who have just managed to finish a costume the night before they wanted to wear it
though I finish the bulk of mine, a week before the con.

Ahhhhhhhhh

So today I went with my cosplay friends to get more wonderflex and fiberglass, which we use to make armor

And today the guy at the effects store talked me into getting a starter plastic casting and molding kit

Im gona test it by making some jewelry and smaller armor details for our Dragon Age costumes, but if I end up getting good at it, this could open a whole new door of cosplay! I could learn how to make facial prosthetics and really light weight authentic looking props

Im soooooo excited! Too bad i have to finish my pokemon costume before I can work with it xD

so today i've decided for my gamecon @ my school, i'm gonna cosplay as either Krystal from Star Fox Command, or as Ratchet from Ratchet&Clank. i'm definitely doing a fursuit design if i go w/ Ratchet, but i think i'll be a neko/inu version of Krystal if i decide on her. i'll DEFINITELY need a corset if i do Krystal, but the con is in 2 weeks, so i THINK i can find one by then. idk...

Why do I even try XD

I just started watching an anime called Show by Rock!!,
And it's really good and adorable!

I'm thinking of cosplaying Moa in her jammies c:

But her hair is gonna be a pain to do... I'm thinking of putting a lot of pink puff balls together to make it <_<
If anyone has any ideas, don't be afraid to tell me ^-^
