Totally Epic!! For some reason when I saw this chicken I immediately thought of burn popcorn......He is gorgeous and I love him and I have like 3 and I am sooooo happy!!!!!!

Yes, I would have loved, loved a rock. But this chicken is makes up for the lack of rock-ness!!

Well, Basalt is more of a rock than a 'gemstone'. Obsidian is more glossy and has that gemstone feel, which appears to be the theme of these chickens. Also more people know about Obsidian than Basalt and the other volcanic rocks.
