" Kotori mumbled, their right eye clamped shut. "You hear voices in your head?" The psychiatrist asked, writing something on a clipboard. "No," Kotori replied. "I see ghosts. "

Kotori was born with a strange power, the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. While this may sound cool, and it is some of the time, it has ruined a large portion of Kotori's life. No one wanted to be friends with the kid who talked to thin air, and shout "Shut up!" When no one was talking. Kotori learned how to deal with the ghosts later on in life, but most of his childhood he spent alone. Well, as alone as you can get with the dead floating around you.

Kotori is a fairly quiet kid who tries their best to keep their head down. Tori tries to stay out of trouble, but the poor guy is like a magnet for it. Kotori is a very bright, and went through advanced programs all through school. It doesn't hurt to have some ghost telling you the answers to your tests, after all. Kotori is fairly introverted, and prefers to be on his own most of the time. While he does like talking to certain people, Kotori tires quickly of social activities.

There are some good things about being able to see ghosts. For one, Kotori loves to ask the dead questions about all sorts of diffrent things. While Kotori has never seen any extremely famous ghosts, they have chatted with some very interesting folk, including scientists, soldiers, authors, ect. Most of what Koto has learned is from these amiable ghosts, who are just dying to tell someone about their lives. Kotori has gotten help at school as well before, on tests, science projects, and they have even gotten book report help from the author of the book himself!

Seeing ghost does have many draw backs though. For one, when ever Kotori's "death eye" as they call it is open, ghosts will bother Koto. Some ghosts like to scream as loud as they can, others like to recite plays, and others will whine and complain about being dead. This can make Kotori very scatterbrained at times, and can stress them out quite a lot. Kotori has become a social outcast, and has a lot of trouble making friends. Not all ghosts are that amiable as well, some want to get revenge on the living. While the ghosts can't physically touch Kotori, they can affect other things, say loosening some bolts on a chandelier Tori is passing under.

Painting

Kotori really enjoys painting, as they find it very relaxing and fun. Tori mostly paints with acrylic paint but they do have a few tubes of watercolor laying around. Kotori likes to paint sets, such as three painting based on a videogame, five paintings of birds, ect. Kotori's mostly been working on drawing some of the more interesting ghosts they have talked to. Kotori tries their best to paint the ghosts how they would have looked in life, and tries to use as much of the spirit's input as possible.

Going to Libraries

Kotori loves libraries, and spends much of their time in the one in their town. Kotori finds reading a lot of fun, and a great way to unwind. Kotori can be anyone they want to be in books, and go anywhere they want to go. The whole experience of being at a library is what Kotori loves though; walking down the rows and rows of books, the inviting smell of old paper everywhere. Kotori loves to hide away in a little corner of the library and read the day away.

Collecting Postage Stamps

Kotori dreams of traveling all across the world one day, seeing everything there is to see. But, having a low paying job and no life saving yet, the plume is going to have to wait a while. Kotori collects postage stamps so then when they do travel, Tori can take a picture holding the stamp from where the stamp came from. Such as standing next to the Statue of Liberty holding a stamp like this, or standing next to the Hachikō monument holding this stamp.

Kotori has a pudgey grey tabby cat, with soft green eyes, and white paws. Kotori named him William Shakespeare, after the famous play writer. The name can be a bit of a mouthful, so for short Kotori calls him Will. Will is a very curious cat, always sniffing through Kotori's belongings and getting stuck daily. Kotori loves Will anyways, and William is very close to Tori. William always seems to know when Kotori is stressed, and will plop himself on Kotori's lap, often helping to calm Kotori down.

Monica

Kotori and Monica are both bookworms, and hardly talk about anything else. The two met a few years back when Kotori bumped into Monica in while walking down a library isle. Kotori appoligized, and quickly reached down to grab the book they wanted, to get out of her way. Monica reached down at the same moment, grabbing a identical book to Kotori's. The plumerians thought it was quite funny, and ended up chatting about the series and what they liked and disliked about it. Before they went their seperate ways, the two switched phone numbers, to discuss books and let each other know what books are coming out. They now often meet up together in libraries, and quietly chat while they pick out books.

Amitola

Despite the age difference between Amitola and Kotori, the two get along really well and are close friends. When Kotori was younger, Amitola was their babysitter. Kotori looked up to Amitola, and Amitola saw them as her little protégé. As Kotori grew older, Amitola would teach Tori how to draw, and show them her own drawing. When Kotori no longer needed a babysitter, Kotori would still go over to hang out and do art with her. The two shared many common interests, and have stayed friends for many years.
Kotori loves to read all of the comics Amitola has written, especially the super hero related ones. Amitola designed a character based off of Kotori, called the Summoner. The Summoner can turn into anyone that's dead, so he can mess with people's minds by turning into a dead loved one. He can also summon an army of ghosts, as he's their king. His cape is a cape of invisibility when he wants it to be. The jewels are embedded in his skin and they help him focus his energy to control the ghosts, especially helpful when summoning his army.
Kotori loves that the Summoner is based off of them, and Kotori doesn't really mind they are the bad guy.

Kotori was born in Austria, their mother being Austrian and their father was American. Kotori moved to America when he was five, and quickly lost his little Austrian accent.
Kotori mainly speaks English, but understands German and can partly speak it.
Humanoid Kotori is 5'2, skinny and lacking muscles. Their face is dotted in freckles, and they have the cutest little dimples. Kotori will often draw on their hands and arms in sharpie, no matter how many times he has been told the ink is bad for them. Tori mostly draws zentangles on his hands, but occasionally will draw creatures crawling on his fingers.

I plan on ordering LOTS of art of Kotori. As you can see from my form, I have no problem trading pets away for art of this babe. I also plan to draw some art of them myself, but I'm not all that good at digital art so most of it would be traditional. I also would for sure do some clay sculptures of Kotori, both simple ones and possibly a large highly detailed one. I'm going to try my best to get some roleplays for this bab, both for fun and to help develop Kotori more. What I really want to do is to be in a big Plumerian Roleplay, as Kotori's characteristics show most when he is around crowds. I plan to eventually find a mate for Kotori, but I'll be extremely picky about who it is, what they look like, and their personality. I will definitely want them to date for a while before they get married, so I can tell if they would be a good fit.

Before we start, I'm guessing you want
to know what I'm like. Right?

We should start from the beginning. When I was young,
my family was unstable. My father left me when I was
10 years old. At least he stayed long enough to help
name me, right? Anyway, they named me Ezra Rivers.
Growing up with no father was hard. When he left,
my mother began to slowly push everyone out of
her life. I guess, after a while, that it included me.
Then, she finally broke. She wouldn't do much,
leaving me to do the housework. Cleaning
dishes, tidying up the house, cooking, and
more. She treated me like a maid. But,
I was to young to get a real job. So, we
slowly descended into bankruptcy.
That' when I knew I had to do it. I felt
horrible, but if I wanted to survive, I
had to go. One night, when she was asleep,
I got a bag and stuffed it with things:
food water, blankets, a camera, and money.
As I walked into the dark night, with the
street lights giving me light, I was scared.
Yet, at the same time, I felt free.

My life began as any other. I was born November 9th a
early Autumn day, to a rather poor, but virtuous, family.
My family and I never had much wealth to our name. My
mother and father both worked two minimum wage jobs
and, honestly, lived paycheck to paycheck every other week.

Needless to say sometimes we had to cut back on things we
even may have needed. We were usually low on food and
sometimes our power would go out until we could get a bit
of spare cash up to pay off that overdue bill.

I remember seeing my mother and father cry over those things
sometimes. How they'd say, "I wish for her to have a better
life," when they thought they were free of my curious ears.

I would get bitter at the thought of that, too. How could two
honest working parents who were so nice and kind to anyone,
be living like this. At a young age I quickly developed a strong
sense of justice, or at least in that time, a bitter vengeance.
