Petalfire backed up a few pawsteps, shocked at the angry
glares and hissed coming from her Clanmates. "It wasn't me,"
she protested, backing up further. "I want to find them as much
as any of you!" Her protests fell on deaf ears. When a paw lashed
out at her, barely missing her face, Petalfire turned and fled. A
few cats went after her, but turned back when she crossed the
border into ShadowClan. The Clan was content they had found
Blueblaze's murderer. As for Petalfire, she ran quickly through
ShadowClan territory, and then WindClan's, until she found her
self beyond Clan territories. She became a loner, and didn't do
too badly, but always wished she could have stayed with her Clan.
Watch out, ThunderClan! There is still a murderer among you!

Falconeyes crept up on the rabbit, here ears flat and tail
still. She was downwind from her prey, making her all but
undetectable. Indeed, the rabbit was unaware it was being
hunted and nibbled at a strand of grass, ear twitching. But,
just as Falconeyes sprang forward, another cat leaped out
of the bushes and collided with her in midair. Frightened,
the rabbit dashed away. Before Falconeyes could demand
what the other cat had been thinking, they slashed open
her belly, spilling her lifeblood onto the grass. The she-
cat scrabbled at the ground for a moment, jaws open in
silent protest, before the light faded from her eyes. The
murderer slipped away, and returning to camp.
Watch out, ThunderClan! There is a murderer among you!

Scatterpaw felt terribly guilty for voting out Petalfire, and wasn't too sure she was the killer despite having guessed it was her. Hoping to get his mind off things, he wandered out of camp to hunt. He heard a rabbit and began to slowly creep on it, ready to chase it when it realized he was there, when he saw a bit of blood splattered on a tree. Cat blood. His heart plummeting, he searched the area...and found Falconeyes dead, her stomach slashed open. "No!" he wailed, collapsing by her side. He had respected the warrior and almost thought of her as an older friend, and now she was dead. "Petalfire wasn't the killer!" he yowled to the forest, hoping a nearby clanmate would come and help. "Falconeyes is dead," he whimpered, quietly, his tail dragging on the ground as he began to pace in anxious circles.

Nightbird's blood ran cold as she heard a distant cry. She couldn't quite make out the words, but it definitely didn't mean anything good. Abandoning the mouse she'd been stalking, she sprinted through the forest, ignoring the branches that whipped at her face and caught on her fur. Soon, she detected Scatterpaw's scent, and... Blood! Urging her legs to go faster, the black warrior found the apprentice next to a dead cat. "Falconeyes...?" she murmured, slowly approaching the two.

Mossfire left the Queens den and walked to the fresh kill pile. *Hopefully the morning patrol will bring new pray with them* she thought. But bevore she could pick one tiny mouse from the pile the brown she-cat heard a yowl that comes out of the forest.
*W-what..?* she followed the yowl just to find Scatterpaw with Falconeyes. The warrior was dead and everywhere was blood. "Wha-" Mossfire couldn't speak for the moment. "But haven't we... haven't we exciled the killer?"

[Areater]

Scatterpaw was shaking again. "I-I was stalking a rabbit and I saw blood and then..then.." he sniffled, his mew heavy with grief "I found Falconeyes. We didn't exile the right cat."

Nightbird lowered her head and closed her eyes sadly. This wasn't something that should be happening in ThunderClan. Finally, the she-cat looked up again and sighed, "We should get her back to camp, then. Let the Clan know what's happened."

Mossfire nodded slowly. "I will help you." she answered and grabbed the neck fur of Falconeyes carefully.

Nightbird smiled weakly in thanks and went to support her dead Clanmates other half. She lifted the brown she-cat and looked at Mossfire to see if she was ready.
