I WOULD LIKE MY WORK IN THE LIBRARY!
Username: .:grell~Sutcliff:.
Title: This isn't a diary, it is a sketchbook!

Is it part of a series? I think it will be
If yes, what are the sequels (and the links to those too, please)?
Short Pitch: (something to persuade people to read your story in 180 characters (CHARACTERS, not words, this includes letters, punctuation, and spaces) or less) Snow is just your average girl with wings, she's in a new school, and when something happens that causes everything to change, she'll learn life isn't all fun and games
Illustration (optional. Could be a banner, a picture of your main character, anything):

What is the climate of the setting in your diary?
As I live in South Dakota, I have Isabella's Tree take place there, meaning the climates would be the same. During Summer, it tends to be really hot and sometimes rainy. Not many storms, but when it does storm, it tends to storm hard. For example, we had at least two tornado warnings last Summer, and in the second it hailed hard. In Spring, it's very rainy and pretty hot, but also cold as Winter just ended. It's getting warmer, but kinda windy. During Fall, it's very chilly and more windy. The leaves are changing colors and falling. It doesn't snow yet, but it gets progressively colder and colder. Winter is a different story. It's always very cold, it got to be around -30-ish with windchill once, but doesn't always snow. If it snows, it tends to snow a lot. But if it doesn't snow, we barely get any, and what we do get, doesn't stay long. Throughout the year, it's always fairly windy and temperatures tend to become a tad extreme (very high or low) in Summer and Winter. There does tend to be quite a few storms, one being the memorable Ice Storm (That's what we call it at school), where everything was covered in about a half-inch layer of ice. I think that's it.

I tip my hat to anyone who actually read all of that. xD

^^^ I like reading long things, incidentally. ouo

Have any of you ever killed off a character, whether minor or major? Do you think you pulled off the tone well? Is it possible to make a diary with bright, sometimes neon colours slathered all over the dialogue 'sad'? There's no reason I'm asking, heh.

Never have killed a character. All my stories are kinda in high school, and I try to keep away from suicide and killing, so no. I think it is possible to make a bright sadness. It is a kid's site, so the tone shouldn't be drop-dead sad, even though it should be. Usually, the characters would come back to life as helpful ghosts or something, to show that they're not really gone forever. I don't know. My stories try to have a light and bubbly air to them, so I can't say much :T

Well, Raindrop is semi-dead, semi-M.I.A. I tried to make the scene where she disappears dramatic, but I'm not sure if I did. I'd rate myself 6/10. But she isn't really dead... All my stories have happy endings. (Tragic stories make me really sad; I get really attached to characters)

RANDOM FACT #3:
Candy is good.

I was a member of the Rebel Alliance, a timelord, a tribute in the Games, a Dauntless soldier, a runner in the Maze, and a security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. I'm so good at sleeping that I can do it with my eyes closed. I visited Jurassic World survived the Time War. I am unstoppable.

Sad stories are good, lol.

The same about the whole attached to characters thing - the only time I don't feel bad about changing the status quo of stories is when I really hate it anyway. Or if the entire story is supposed to be incredibly chaotic. Which is a pattern appearing more and more frequently in the short stories I write.

Really, though, in the form of anything apart from your typical (preferably third or first person) narrative, I've never been able to make people feel anything, so I don't think sadness is a problem for me.

I started a new piece! Sadly, it's not really a diary.. Maybe it is. I just want to try the first person thing. The link is in my signature, I wrote a short prologue but meh. It's the Lost In Thought one :D
I hope this isn't irrelevant so to make it non-irrelevant I shall answer Pie's question above.

Well.. That would reveal a spoiler, but uhmm.. Yeah. Let's just say some characters you think are alive are dead, not talking about Pony though. You'll just have to wait and see..

If you have an evil queen being kicked off into a endless falling pit just to fix a time paradox... well... nobody knows if she is still falling today lol

Not confirming anything, but the life of a Shadechaser tends to be very dangerous and many die young, so there's a chance some of my Shadechasers may die. I hope to pull it off well, though.
