What makes a character unique?
For me it's always the design and their backstory together! An unusual design can have a overdone story soooo...
I just love reading about characters with a unique past and personality n____n

But it entirely depends on the design, I'd go for anything that piqued my interest ;v;

It depends on how it's written, but I really dig pre-made personalities // o //

sometimesssss I come up with a theme first but
otherwise the writing comes after the design for me! I love building off of what I think they'd visually fit with uvu

What makes a character unique?
Personality and history! Honestly, writing a good, unique, well thought out character is much harder than designing one.

Are you interested in one-off characters (normal and abnormal in anatomy) or original species more?
I tend to like one-off characters more because there isn't any established background or history, so it's free reign to create whatever world I want around them ;w; But I like both!

Do you prefer designs (for sale) that have pre-made personalities, or do you prefer to make your own?
Make my own, dear gosh--

When buying customs, what kind of themes do you usually lean towards?
Royalty themes, flowers (mainly roses, especially silver ones), darker colors (reds/blues/blacks), sharks, and fire.

Designing a backstory is my favorite part! I adore world-building and history, designs are pretty but the real heart of a character is in their story to me ;w;

Chikako, dear god. They barely pay attention to anything or anyone else unless they can benefit her in some way.

Lonraigh is pretty selfless. They're a gentle giant and have trouble speaking up for themselves, so the only time they get into fights is over misunderstandings. They don't want to hurt anyone!

I dont think they have interacted with Chikako as of yet, though they could.

Hi der everyone!

For a class assignment, I'm looking for ONE human/human-esque character (no anthros, please). I am making a watercolor zentangle, and I must use a human motif of some form. For the project, I will do my very best to preserve the OCs design while making the piece awesome. If you don't know what the style I'm aiming for is, I encourage you to google it for samples. I'm not thinking of charging for it, just that you allow me to use the piece in college applications and stuff.

I don't think it has anything to do with the design, simply the idea that the owner/the one interested puts behind the OC. that's what makes them unique, the passion and ideas of the owner that the OC becomes.

I like going from the ground up. Rarely I'll come across one that has a detailed background and information I adore and keep, but for the most p[art when I get something new I build them from the basics all over again to suit my tastes.

Oh geez... Freaks, fire, tribal... I don't get customs often, but I like splicing in things that might counted as unusual in the species.

I love the visual part of it ^u^ After all, I am an OC designer myself. I love putting symbolism and quirks into the design, making it come to life on the page so to say.
