I think that the emoticon dogs are based on chibi emotions, because the lines on the back of the dog kinda look like when there sad or embarrassed.

Adding on to this theory, the red one kinda looks like when they have a crush or something.

Do these guys make anyone else think of the outline of this style dog?

obviously not the overall pixelation look, but the outlines just seem off to me.

Do those pups have bubble shapes on them? Or is the burning plastic smell in my house (our dishwasher door, the electric panel inside it caught on fire a little bit before we noticed it) just causing me to see things?
