She bit her lip, her body trembling with dread as she staggered out of the cabin, her breaths hoarse, raspy. The door gave a soft click behind her, her legs wobbly as she made her way down the old cobblestone path, shakily dipping her head and rounding around the back of the group of people at the far edge of the clearing. Her heart throbbed achingly in her chest, her eyes bleak. Carefully she slid the journals into her pockets, slinging her black hoodie on over her head as she glanced up. Ember. Her legs quivered as she tentively tugged on his sleeve, hoping to somehow get his attention, someway.
"...Ember, I need to talk to you, it's...it's important," she practically croaked, clenching her jaw as she dragged him away from the other kids.

Ember had been in the middle of going over plans with a small stealth team when a heavy tug pulled on the sleeve of his shirt.Looking down at her with his Glowing Amber eyes he was silent a moment his closed off and ridgid stature shifting as he turned towards her.His steely gaze seemed to slice through her chest as he sighed "Shay Im going over plans it will have to wa-"he cut off with a sudden grunt as she yanked on his shirt in an attempt to drag him away.Though his feet were planted and he didn't move.Many of the men surounding them both stood in shock at her and her hand which was latched onto his shirt.Nobody ever dared touch him for a few reasons.First of all his quiet and unsettling aura scared the day lights out of people.Second they didn't touch him out of respect for his personal space.Lastly the last guy who grabbed his shirt got a broken wrist. Staring at her with a narrowed gaze he sighed and shook his head "Fine but make it quick.Every moment we waste is worsening the odds."he grumbeled walking with her into the forest his gun balanced evenly in his arms though the barrel was pointed towards the ground it didn't make it any less threatening.

She knew she had risked nearly everything by touching him, several gasps sounding behind her out of pure shock, astonishment, but she didn't care. Gritting her teeth she stumbled down over onto the far clearing, relieved that he was following her as she drew to a sharp hault, slowly unclasping her hands from around his sleeve and pulling away. Shay did her best to steady herself, her body shaking, trembling with dread as she stared back up at him, meeting his penatrating gaze head on. "...I know you, Ember. I've known you for a long time," she whispered hoarsely, ruffling up the hair at the back of her head as she took a step forward. "-I know you remember me...don't you?"
