She watched him curiously after sitting back down. Trying to read his face for any sign of what he may be thinking. Only after giving up did he speak again and she smiled. She wasn't sure of her own freedom though. She still missed her home, but she did kind of like living out on the streets. But at the same time, she wasn't sure where the best places to find food or shelter were and one thing that bothered her more than anything was that she was all alone. "Yeah, you are. It's a good thing too. The place you described sounded awful. I didn't know humans could be so mean." she told him honestly.

He gave a small laugh as Miley talked to Marcus, though was still weary of the male as he walked over to them. He nodded to Miley, glancing away from Marcus. "Well, usually when you jump up and snarl at someone, there first instinct is to turn tail and leave." he said. "But, i can tell he just wants to protect you, as most good brothers do for their sisters." he said, smiling at Miley. He looked both her and Marcus up and down. Marcus was a well built male, a formidable foe ina fight he would guess, and Miley was a pretty fea though seemed capable enough to take care of herself. Obviously they had grown up together which is why he was so protective of Miley.

Miley laughed a little and said, "He is a very protective brother, but I know that he means well. Sometimes though if you're lucky, you'll see his sweet side. Marcus rolled his eyes and said, "Ok Miley, you can stop talking about me now; I'm standing right here." At Miley's words saying that she trusted Reggie, he calmed down a little bit and smiled a little. Marcus knew that Miley had good judgement of character. He glanced over at Reggie and said, "Sorry, I just don't trust strays very easily like my sister."
