After a moment she narrowed her eyes, the ruckus from outside growing softer in the distance. The shifter rose from her stool steadily, her cabin door giving an eerie creak as she drew it open, peaking out into the camp with wary anticipation. A few kids were whispering to each other in the far clearing, their mothers holding onto them tight. The majority of the fighters, those who could handle a rifle it sword, were already gone, Jax and Ember no where in sight. Her little mare was bickering loudly in the stalls, pleading to Shay to have one last go, but she shook her head.
...She never participated in any of it, always staying back, protecting what she had left beneath guarded doors. Quietly she snuck over to the medics cabin, her knuckles rasping softly onto the door. "...Hey Nore, you in there? I'd just like to speak with you for a moment, perhaps, while all the other guys are out..."

Almost as suddenly as she knocked the door had swung open and Nore appeared infront of her.Giving a joyful smile the Medic have a happy little bounce before tugging her inside the large cabin "Ah Shay my dear girl what can I do for you?"She asked as she crossed the room and came to a stop picking up a book in the chaos of all the disorder and flipping through the old and wrinkled pages.Each page crisp and delicate between her fingers.Setting down her book she glanced up at her before sensing somthing was off "Shay?"she asked slowing as she reached up and took down some dried leaves hanging from the cieling

Ash manages to pull away, her eyes full of pain and fear. She looks at them then to her leg that was bleeding badly

She smiled gently, giving a polite dip of her head before she was tugged on inside, a cool, eerie breeze drafting over her. The shifter wrinkled up her nose, the animal side of her quickly picking up the wild scents of herbs and juices, dust filtering through the air. She gave a light shrug, her eyes drifting on over the cabin distractedly as she nodded. "I...um, need some advice. I've been having these weird dreams, nightmares. I can't sleep at night, and Im just having too much on my mind lately and the stress is just, ugh, overwhelming. To be honest, I think it may be guilt...I just don't know what for."

Glancing at Shay as she plucked off a few leaves and crushed them into a paste she thought for a moment "Guilt is a strong power.Constantly shadowing a person wether they are aware of it or not.Guilt itself never leaves a person.Its like a parasite that buries itself in the back of your mind."she murmered under her breath as she poured the blue paste into a vial and plugged it up with a small cork.Slapping a caution sticker on the vial she set it on a shelf filled with other vials and beakers labeled poisons with hanging white tags cautioning their usage. "When did you start having these...Nightmares?"she asked as she skepticly eyed down some orange leaves.

A soft sigh seethed through her lips, her eyes drifting slowly back over to the medic, watching intently at the vials and crumbled up leaves, her gaze bleak beneath the flickering light of the cabin. "...The night I saw Ember outside, right by the campfire," she whispered dryly, her voice hoarse as she quickly looked back up at the ceiling, her heart hiccuping in her chest. "Ever sense then, I can't get any sleep...I need help. Even my aim with that silly little sling shot is off, and I never miss. Never."

Not glancing away from her work the medic fell silent the wheels in her brain turning as she flipped through an old poison book putting together a large amount of some kind of black sludge."I see."she murmered as she poured the thick and bubbling sludge into the large beaker in her hand. "And these Nightmares,Tell me about them."She said with a little puff of air as she slapped on another tag sliding the beaker carefully in a locked chest Turning towards her new she slid over to a pile of dusty old books and began digging throwing books this way and that as she searched.

"I dream about being bitten, by a snake of some sort, I guess...and just sitting there, helplessly," she breathed, biting her lip as she tentively ran her hands over her arms, goosebumps prickling her skin. Shay remained quiet for a moment, lingering behind the woman as she dug through her chest, her eyes drifting back over to the array of shelves and herbs about the cabin. "I dream that I die."
