He growled watching the deer dash off. Quickly chasing it, he gained on it, closing in with a growl. Pouncing on its back, his body weight quickly took it down, rolling on the ground with his claws hooked in it's hind.

She shifted into her human form, dipping her head gently and slipping beneath Ember's arm and letting him lean into her as they staggered back torwards camp. Her eyes were bleak, her sweaty palms up against his white tank top as she trudged into the harsh thicket, the bracken tangling around her rugged blue jeans as they reached the edge of the clearing. After a moment she let go of him, careful to not let him fall.

She sat in the log next to him, staring into the fire.

Logan feels the warmth of the fire. "I needed this." He said, warming his hands.

Slowly taking a few steps away from her side he turned to her and gave a small nod "You should wash up your covered in my blood."he rasped softly flashing her one of his rarest smiles.Warm and touching he turned and staggered across the clearing.Pausing for a moment to gaze at the fire he sighed before slipping in to the medics hutch.As soon as the wooden door swung shut Ember let his wounds toll show.Falling to his knees he dragged himself to a bed and laid down as Nore rushed over and helped him out of his now blood stained shirt.Cleaning around the wounds Nore quickly went to work stopping blood loss,cleaning the wounds,and removing the bullet with very few problems.It wasn't until she had him on fluids and a blood transfusion from one of the wild wolves in the area that she unlocked the door for visitors.Stepping outside she brushed off her hands her surgical gown splattered with his blood.

She bit her lip, her eyes wavering for a moment from shock as he smiled warmly, touching. Her heart ached with yearning as she watched him stagger into the medics cabin, her head reeling as she finally nodded. Quickly she regained herself, blinking and crossing her arms cooly over her chest as she headed back down home, her door creaking open and her piano shimmering softly as it came into veiw. Her fingers traced rawly across one of its keys before she strode on into the bathroom, leaning over the counter and splashing, cool, icy water from the sink into her face. A wary breath seethed through her lips as she gently closed her eyes, humming a tune gently.
"...And the angels begin to play," she sung quietly, twirling a strand of hair in her fingers as she turned around heading out onto the other side of the cabin.

Dipping her head, she headed on down torward Nore's cabin, greeting her at the door gently with a soft, rasping knock.

Poking her head through the door Nore gave a joyful laugh and pulled her inside "Oh honey there's no need to knock just come in next time!"she said gently as she turned and walked back to her open book and bowl of crushed herbs "Ember you lazy sheep you have a visitor sit up!"she called over her shoulder to the form that laid curled up under a mound of blankets.At her call the blankets slowly fell away as ember shifted and sat up.

Rubbing the back of his neck Ember looked at Shay and dipped his head in a greeting his Amber eyes droopy and uneven "Shay."he greeted simply as he proped himself up against the wall.Aside from a pair of bandages wrapped around his arm and a large gauze pad on his shoulder Embers upper torso was bare and if he cared he didn't show it.Pushing his bangs out of his eyes the man tilted his head "How are you doing."he asked her which was kind of ironic being she was the one visiting him

She smiled, blushing lightly as the medic towed her on inside. Almost instinctively her eyes drew over Ember, his muscular shoulders and back, the bareness of his skin and sharp turn of his face... Quickly Shay snapped out of it, twirling a lose strand of hair that had fallen infront of her eyes in her fingers, pursing her lips as she gave him a gentle nod. Dipping her head, the shape shifter made her way to his bed side, placing a gentle hand over the gauze pad wrapped across his shoulder. "...Its me who should be asking that question. Are you okay?"

"Could be worse."he murmered then after a moment of silence he shrugged "Could be dead."he pointed out before looking at his wounded shoulder.Even though he normally would have drawn back the pressure helped ease the pain and he simply didn't have the energy to be reclusive at the moment.Shifting into a more comfortable position he rolled his good shoulder a few times.The movement caused his chest and back to tense and ripple with effort "I should have been quicker.I never should have let us get that close to the trap..."he murmered softly

She mustered up a smile, pursing up her lips as she nodded. "Oh, don't be silly," she whispered dryly, slowly drawing her hand back and looking into his eyes head on, her own bleak, shady yellow ones piercing straight through him. "...You saved me back there, probably even saved my life. Thank you, Ember...it means a lot to me."
