She glanced over her shoulder as the girl suddenly shifted, the change an obvious struggle as she morphed into quite a frail white Bengal tiger, her eyes narrowing as Erin simply darted off. After a moment Shay looked back over at Ember, shrugging. "...Well, there goes the cat," she murmured breathlessly, clenching her jaw.

The tiger nodded in her approval, the boy wrapped up in her paws, leaned back against her fur. "...How many tails do I have?" She whispered lowly when she saw the distant look in his eyes, knowing they needed to keep his attention, keep him awake, warm, alive.

She placed her bag on the first bed and stared at the other one, she knew that Luna didn't like sleeping in a bed so she took the quilt and folded it in a half, placing it over the floor as if it was Luna's old bed. Luna's old bed the sentence echoed inside her mind, How did my life changed so much in 3 days? she asked herself, she didn't feel bad about leaving her family, she felt both betrayed because her parents were ready to kill her and sad because her brother had died. She sighted a called Luna that came close to her sitting down on her improvised bed

She shifted back into her human form and just couldn't resist the tears, she threw her arms around him and hugged him tightly and this time it wasn't to keep him warm... "You're alive" she whispered softly "You're alive" she echoed

For a moment she nodded, gently releasing the boy and standing up, shaking off her coat roughly. Upon watching the other girl shift she felt an instinct to fall into her original form, a human, a regular, fifteen year-old human. She clenched her jaw, feeling her stomach twist, lurching. Her claws dug deep into the ground as she tried to shift back, forcing her tiger deep inside, forcing the animal back...but something was wrong. She couldn't...she literally...couldnt. Her heart thrummed loudly in her chest as she stared back up at the others, her vibrant cat eyes wide with sudden panick. "...I can't shift."
She glanced over at the boy, clenching her jaw with frustration. "Jeeesh...I can't shift."

She hissed, clenching her jaw and pinning her ears back against the butt of her head. Her stomach lurched, twisting, struggling to shift back...but it wouldn't give. Furiously the tiger took a step back, dead leaves crunching beneath her rough pads as she glanced over at the boy. He was probably her age, fifteen, perhaps? "....What did you do, jump in a lake?" She blurted out, twisting the human words rawly in her mouth.
