Out of the corner of her eye she could sense Ember behind her, Shay's nose quivering at the faint scent of bird up against the harsh smell of wolves. For a moment she grew quiet, her voice hoarse and small. "...Not everyone knows how to control their shifting abilities, much less do well. Most of us train for our own self defense, but others are planning on having revenge against the human's that kicked them away. It depends who you are."

She tried to take in all the information all at once "Revenge?" she knew what that meant in most cases "But why are they planning a war when they could just live here happily?" she couldn't understand what could make someone want to go on a war, they kill people and destroy forests, everything that was left after one was destruction, not much of a price for what they had to pay. "I know how to use a bow" she said and it was true, not only she knew how to use it but she was amazing with it, it was a gift that she had started to practise when she was 8 or so "I used to have lessons when I was... younger"
