AJ - The easiest way I remember that is, "which date is easiest for other people to see, the date on the PM or the date on the foal's thread?"

Personally I check out new equids all the time, and was surprised that Major had had his first foal. But I've also been told too, because sometimes with work im not as active. I would I prefer being linked to the new foal so I can still be surprised X3 So I guess for me surprise it is.

ohh totally stumbling upon new foals. usually i do ask the slot owner to pm me.. but then i add "if i dont find the foal first" cx
im a curious kind of person..

I always ask the member to notify me when it's born :3 that way I can add it to the family tree and not miss it.
Although I LOVE being surprised when my Equid gets a new relative, cousin, niece, nephew ect

I like to be notified when they're born because 1) I like to edit my wme thread asap and 2) for sequoias first foal I didn't know until 6 months after they were made
